Parasites an aspiring band from India

Before we began we will like to notify you all that The Parasites are an aspiring band from Kalimpong, India. To know more about them you can go through there page.

Tell me something about your band?
We are The Parasites, a band from Kalimpong, India formed in the late 2012 with four members:
1. Lendup Sherpa (Vocals)
2. Sebastian Gurung (Drums)
3. Bibek Rauth (Guitars)
4. Saugat Mukhia (Bass)
Formed by our Drummer Sebastian a.k.a Angel Of Death, we do Black Metal Acts with a taste of Death Metal & Slamming Brutal Death Metal coz we love the three Genres. That's it!

So talking about the name how did the name The Parasites came?
About the name as you know what a Parasite is, those creatures who survives by being dependent on another creature and finally ruins that another creature. We too are just like them. Haha We are nothing without our Parents & Friends but still we act like a parasite with them. We the members are personally a Pain in the Neck to our Parents, Friends & those who know us! We are mostly unwanted coz we are irritating, our mentality doesn't resemble with others and our attitude. And we take away others happiness and turn it into sadness, make people feel shameful wherever possible, criticize others, etc And finally thinking about the band name "THE PARASITES" resembles to our personal lives so we decided to keep this as our name!

Haha for sure Ok tell us how far has been the journey of the Parasites?
The journey hasn't been that far. Coz our destiny is to create a metal scene out here in our Hometown Kalimpong and Promote Metal and encourage people to Listen & Play metal music without Drugs & Alcohol but things aren't going as planned. Those shitty stuffs called SWAG; Raw Bars is ruining the scene. But never mind, we will reach our destination someday.

So can you tell us about the scene there in Kalimpong?
The scene out here is Zero! It’s sad but we the bands from Kalimpong are only to be blamed. No matter how much we try to unite as Brothers of metal, their Ego doesn't let them do that. We believe that everything has got a place and time and according to that we must behave. Band members from our place don't want to unite to promote the scene. They don't want to follow these slogans "I Can't, We Can" and "Together We Can" But we don't give a fuck! We will promote the scene, it may take a decade but we will do it! Regarding the promotion of Metal out here, we don't resemble with our name!

It’s pretty obvious that the scene is the process of evolvement there. Can you say us about your lineup?
Yeah the scene is in the process of evolvement. And about our lineup we have Lendup Sherpa on Vocals, Bibek Rauth on Guitars, Saugat Mukhia on Bass Guitar & Sebastian Gurung as our Drummer & the one who does the Song Writing Shit! We are not just a band; we are a Family, the Brothers of Metal. And we aren't just the four guys who complete the lineup; every Metal head that supports us, the local scene and is involved in the promotion of local metal scene and bands is a part of us! Coz we aren't just a band. We are a Family

So until now how many gigs have the parasites played so far?
So far we've played only three gigs.

Can you mention us ?
Ummm our first gig was in our own Hometown Kalimpong during the Winter Festival and played two more at Savin Kingdom, Siliguri.

How hard was to set a metal band like in gadget allocation and practice room?
It was hard allocating coz things don't go as planned and our gadgets, we being The Parasites in human form we are still dependent to our parents for most of the things. So we had to sacrifice a lot like listen to them, act like as if we are the best guys in our place, etc in order to get the gadgets and regarding our practice room, our drummer Sebastian has one extra room in his house and that's where the Music Making, Jamming, Abusing takes place though we sometimes get Scary Looks by the neighbors and we get to hear people talking shit behind our asses coz of the noise we create and disturb others from our Zero Sound Proof Room....haha. But who gives a Fuck to what others say when it comes to Metal

So can you tell us which band influences your music?
The bands that influence our music are Gorgoroth, Burzum, Satyricorn, Burzum, Dimmu Borgir, Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God, Six Feet Under, Sinister Violence (Darjeeling) and yes us ourselves too!

Can you tell us something about your original?
Our first single titled "My Girlfriend's Sacrifice" was a dirty song. It’s a fantasy story based lyrics which is all about Blood, Sex, Lust & the Lucifer! And some new originals titled Devil In Wonderland, Laughing Tarts, Parasitic War which we will be recording in the mid of 2014 is based on Fantasies, Reality and Satan! And yeah we've got some new taste of Guttural, Screeches, Growls, Squeals and a lot more of variations on Vocals, We've got a Depressive Feel with some Old School Death Metal Riffs and Slamming Brutal Death Metal Riffs on the Guitars, Blast Beats, Breakdowns, etc on Drums and Some Melodic Music on the Bass with much of Coordination with the Drums.

So we are all aware of our society as it is almost the same their and here in Nepal. What obstacles do you guys have to face especially being in a metal band which society considers pain in ears?
Obstacles, haha it’s a part of life! But nothings there! We hear people talking shit about us, judge us by our Dress Up, Give us the title of Drug Addicts, etc Social Injustice to the Metal Bands, etc. But we don't give a fuck coz we know who we are and what we are! Society, we cannot change the mentality of the people. All we can do is accept them the way they are and keep on doing what we do. If they like what we do, then well its fucking good or else all we can do is show them our Longest Finger and Keep Playing & Living the life of Metal

So which band do you think are the dark horse in the long run?
Gorgoroth! The Black Metal Lord's hailing from Norway. They've been a great inspiration for us, their history and everything about them. Their Lifestyle, Music, Attitude, it’s really inspiring.

So can you tell us your dream lineup with whom you guys want to perform?
We are living our Dream. The current lineup is at its best and no one will be able to fill the gap. Our bonding, relationship with each other, we are a family. And it would be great to share the stage with every Nepali Metal Band

Any message to the fans?
Ummm keep fucking supporting us The Parasites & the Other Local Metal Bands. Stay Brutal, Stay Raw \m/ Kill THE SWAG! KILL THE D.J! KILL FAKE MUSIC! Don't give a fuck to the social discrimination & injustice to the Metal heads & Bands. Keep doing what you do! Support Metal and Local Metal Bands or else Fuck Off! Haha and you're not Fans; we are a Family Bonded by Brutality \m/ and thanks to SNRMB NEPAL & SAGYAN DA for bearing us. Keep up the good work Guys

So we want are almost at the end can you tell us the 10 albums one should have in their collection?
10 ALBUMS one should have in their Collection are:
1. Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt (Gorgoroth)
2. Evisceration Plague (Cannibal Corpse)
3. Enthrone Darkness Triumphant (Dimmu Borgir)
4. Grotesque Impalement (Dying Fetus)
5. Filosofem (Burzum)
6. Evangelion (Behemoth)
7. All Shall Fall (Immortal)
8. The Secrets of the Black Arts (Dark Funeral)
9. Commandment / Death Rituals (Six Feet Under)
10. Singles, Albums released by Any Local Band. And it’s a Must Share with friends and other supporters too!

Any message to fellow bands from Raktapyas?
Guys we are a family. Keep promoting metal without drugs. Stay brutal \m/

Lastly a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

No you haven't missed anything. Thanks a lot for the Interview. Keep up the Good Work. Hail Metal \m/

Cap De Craniu biography

"Cap De Craniu" is a death metal/grindcore band from Bucharest, Romania, formed in spring 2007. The only original members remaining in the band are the guitarist, Calin Raduta and the drummer, Razvan Raduta Penda. Shortly after they formed the band, CDC(Cap De Craniu) released "First EP for a Surgery", in April 2007, being credited with defining the Romanian grindcore scene by incorporating elements of hardcore and punk, vocals with severe growls and squeals reflected in horror and social lyrics.

CDC was formed in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, in March 2007 by Calin Raduta and Costin Chioreanu, who were already playing in numerous local bands and projects since the early '90s (H8Hang Him, Kendo,  Crize,  Protest Urban, Deviant, Nightpray, My Shadow, Discordless, Subway Night Orchestra, Retribution, Sistem Nervos, etc).

The duo was inspired by horror and gore movies similar to "Evil Dead", mostly creating stories around a fictive character(Laur, the protagonist in all their lyrics), about the human kind in our days and also giving an ironical meaning to the most common social disorders(as they say: "if you want to get past evil, smile first!"). The first stable line-up of the group consisted of Calin Raduta on guitar, Costin Chioreanu on bass, Razvan Raduta Penda on drums and Dragos Drunea on vocals. CDC consists of 4 members and, besides music, they have some strong points in music engineering, graphic design and video production. They became a DIY group, self releasing "First EP for a surgery" and performing at many important concerts and festivals along bands like Suffocation, Rotting Christ, or Parkway Drive. After entering their own studio to record "I'll Kill If I Live", the fifth member Radu Ionascu joined CDC on guitar.
In the summer of 2011, the band faced a period of hardship, with 3 of the members quitting the band. As a duo group, the two brothers, Calin and Razvan decided to collaborate with Metalfan Records Division and finished producing the debut album, called "I'll Kill If I Live", released during the spring of 2012.

Constantly thinking forward, seeking the best for the future band structure, they chose to recruit Nicolae Paul as the bassist and not one, but two vocalists: Mihai Ionescu and Vicentiu "Averac" Busuioc, in order to reach the look and the sound of a higher dimension.

For the whole CDC project, the big change proved to be a lot more than just survival. The fresh younger blood has brought new ideas and influences that merged perfectly with the initial concept firmly established by the Raduta brothers. Facing a more complex brutal sound and a highly energetic presence on stage, the audience excitedly embraced the band's obvious evolution.

Further on, among numerous shows in Bucharest and along the country, we can highlight the opening act for Suicide Silence and also the appearance at the "B'estfest" festival. At the end of 2013, Cap de Craniu, along with their fellow country men, Breathelast (post-hardcore), released another long-expected DIY production, as the third material of the CDC discography, consisting in a split EP named "Split It Out", available for free listening and (name your price) download at http://splititout.bandcamp.com/ .

Currently, the band is preparing for touring along the country, highly motivated by the freshly tightened collaboration with their new manager,Catalin Sebastian Davidescu and his Dark Side Booking Academy. "

Nepal Death Fest Review

So we are a bit late this time to post the review of NDF a we all know that exams fever is all over the university level here in Nepal. OK back to the point  before we begin we will like to thank the E.U.M.S.N and Brutal Pokhara for such a marvelous experience. Was an pretty awesome time working with you guys. Was a wonderful experience seeing and analyzing the gig this closely way lot of memory. I hope like usual we can give our view without being biased.

11th January 2014 time 1100 hrs everyone was waiting this moment from quite a long time for the inauguration of NDF . Every extreme metal fans eyes was here in Nepal to see bands from Nepal , India and Bangladesh performing together sharing one stage.
Nude Terror (Nepal)
Aakrosh (Nepal)
Dying out Flame (Nepal)
Homicide (Bangladesh)
Creature of Judgement (Bangladesh)
Fragarak (India)
Ugrakarma (Nepal)

Two bands Old castle massacre from Sri lanka and the other band from India  cancelled to play in the gig due to some unavoidable circumstance. But we hope to see and hear them live in the near future. Most probably in a matter of few days we will even be posting an exclusive interview of Sailendra (Front man of  OCM) and know the reason.

So now coming to the point. We all are aware with what happened in the last moment due tp the lack of communication later it was found that another band had booked the particular bar for there E.P launch and due to the time clash the venue of NDF was shifted to Universal Cafe situated to other part of the town. A big round of applaud to the NDF team for managing the gig in such instance. We must even thank the cafe to provide there venue in short notice.
Since situation had changed in a short moment it took a bit time to adjust the sound system which caused to delay of the show by 2 hours. The program started as soon as every thing was adjusted. The lineup as per the slot is listed above. We will go through each bands one by one

Nude Terror:-

They are an aspiring grindcore act from Kathmandu. They were the opening act of the gig. Their slot was for around 30 minutes. This was my first time that i witnessed them and trust me they were promising immense moshpit. Personally i really liked them and even their music forced me to join the pit . Their last song was a cover song of Cattle Decapitation  " The Product Alive". No one were able to track the errors made which was only  known when their vocalist admitted  it at last. What i felt was that it was a true sign of showman ship by Bishal their Vocalist.

Aakrosh:-
An aspiring Technical Death metal Band. I've no words to say they were much tighter then then there last gig. If i am asked to say about the scenes future of Nepal Death Metal scene then the name will constitute of Aakrosh as well. We could all figure it out from the pit massive respond.

Dying Out Flame :-
An aspiring Death Metal Band from Kathmandu. I guess i should not speak about them .I just want to say they were awesome. take a glimpse of the video which is soon to be posted . You will for sure understand what i mean.Get ready cause this year they will be launching there album.

Homicide:-

Man i must say those who missed the gig missed the ultimate Hades chaos. Killer numbers from there Ep Annihilation Pit and some unreleased material surely made us all blow our head off. Must thank them for the Dying Fetus and Cannibal Corpse cover. They added some more flavor  and made the crowd much sick. Those Who Missed the gig Must say You missed The Opportunity of lifetime. I juat cant express what to say cause they forced me to go on stage and bang like anything and this is the second time i did in past 11 years. If i have to say any thing to Bangladeshi metal followers "YOU GOT A KILLER GEM IN YOUR COUNTRY, THIS BAND IS GONNA RIP OFF IN THE DEATH METAL SCENE IF PROVIDED PROPER EXPOSURE"

During the COJ Fragrak and  i got involved in other activities as i was involved in some activities as i was also co ordinating on some aspects of NDF.  During Creature of Judgement i was out for lunch so was not able to hear them properly. But i had bought there album and it was terrific. But as far as i had heard them they were terrific and what i saw was that the crowds were really supporting and banging their head. Fragrak was above my expectation as they were much high above my expectation. the lights went off and in the dark Fragrak was playing . Strange lights was not there but the generated supplied power to the sound. Later when i had talked with Fragrak crews they had thought that the lights were switched off .
Creature of Judgement

                                                                   Fragrak

Ugrakarma was not able to Perform due to the lack of time and pressure from the local people the show had to be stopped at 7pm.They were just able to play one song.

Lastly what i want to say is that it was a well managed gig as every obstacles were handled with an ease and one thing is for sure i was amazed to see that the governmet official was much cooperative compared to previous experience. As the venue was is hall sounds reverb problem was a bit annoying. Still with such Obstacles the show was well managed and systematic kudos to Zivon and Vishal.
                              Now rating the event.
                                                (9/10)

Gehennah an Old School Black Metal act from Sweden

Gehennah is an OSBM act from Sweden. A few days back we had a talk with them and below there is a short talk we had with them.We are pretty sure that many black metal heads are aware of this giants, if not here is the link

Before we begin we would like to know a brief history of Gehennah?
Gehennah started in 92. We released three albums in the mid to late 90s. Been fucking around ever since haha . Recently changed our bass player as Ronnie Ripper wanted to focus on Turbocharged, With Charlie Knuckelsuter on the 4-sting atomic axe we are back in full force - new 4 track single coming in the near future. Watch out! Knuckleduster

Can you guys say us the meaning of Gehennah?
Hell

Can we know about the lineup?
The meaning of Gehennah is also to spread drunken and dirty Streetmetal all over the world!!!
Mr. Violence: horrible and putrid winobreath.
Rob Stringburner: Six string ninjasword.
Charlie Knuckleduster: Four string executioneraxe.
Hellcop: STILL the strongest drummer in the universe.
This gang of four will beat you more!!!

Almost 22 years of journey how has these years gone?
Ohh, it's been a misty ride! The alcoholic fumes have totally affected every single move that Gehennah made! We're all scarred and bruised but we're still delivering pure, genuine and drunken street metal! We'll never grow up, we'll never learn! Our hearts will for metal forever burn!!!

In this part of the world Gehennah is known by a very few people. Can we say that Gehennah as a the fusion of thrash and old school black metal band as we have found maximum tracks with Venoms influence?
That may be true... We all came from the Black/Death world and had Venom as our biggest heroes and drinking as our main influence.

10 Years Of Fucked up behavior was your last album in 2003 after that we haven't got any albums of Gehennah by when will the new album be aired. As in our previous talked you have mentioned it is in production process. By when will be it aired of 2014?
We're releasing a 7" single early 2014 but we're also in the process of writing songs for our next album. But we have no idea when it's going to be recorded or released yet. The only thing we know for sure is that it's going to be the loudest and most bad-ass album ever released, by anyone! So look forward to that one!

Well looking forward for the single. We would like to know about any recent updates regarding tours of Gehennah?
No plans for tours at the moment.

So i want to ask you guys apart from Gehennah which band will be an aspiring band from Sweden?
Rawhide.

So any message to the fans from this corner of the world?
Gehennah is back in full riot-gear with a new four-track EP, out early 2014!!! Keep your eyes open for some drunken, dirty and mean Street metal coming your way!!!! Metal to the bone!!!

For sure and any advice to the Nepali metal bands especially black metal bands who take you guys as an idol?
Well, never compromise, drink hard, be real and use excessive amounts if violence against posers and false metal!!! Only death and drunken Street metal is real!!!

You guys are from the part of the scene which is known as the place of origin of death metal. How has it been keeping up a black metal band in land known for death and viking?
As we said before. We was all in the death/black metal scene in the early nineties and we're proud that we've been part of it ever since. We assume you're meaning "old school" Black metal like the first wave in the vein of Venom, Bathory and Hellhammer when you're saying Black metal. It's a big difference! Gehennah has almost nothing to do with the modern Black metal that was growing big in the early nineties. Gehennah has always stood for just having fun, party hard, play the meanest metal there is and never back off a fight with anyone. We're simply a tribute to all the drunken, dirty and loud outcasts of the metal scene! And in this Viking issue there's only one band ever that can get away with that image in my opinion (Hellcop), and that band is Heavy Load!!!

We are almost at the end can you tell us 10 albums one should have as a must?
Motörhead - s/t
Motörhead- Overkill
Motörhead - Bomber
Motörhead - Ace of Spades
Motörhead - No Sleep 'till Hammersmith
Motörhead - Iron Fist
Motörhead - Another Perfect Day
Motörhead - No Remorse
Motörhead - Orgasmatron
Fisc - Tracker

Your dream metal gig lineup?
Venom (original line up)
Tank
Battleaxe
Gehennah
Fisc!

Any thing you want to say or express that we SNRMB team forgot to ask?

Worship Satan, and just prepare yourselves for a new raw, mean and dirty Gehennah release soon!!! Beat the posers!!!

Review of Survivor of Storms

Before i begin, i want to make everyone clear that i am not talking on behalf of Neither Our Official Band Dying Out Flame Nor on Behalf of Independent Entertainment. Yes i am bit offended by what happened to Dying Out Flame as they are SNRMB official band on the other hand it was the good initiation by the guys who Started 2014 with a gig (mentioning that it was on workday i.e Wednesday.)

Before i start, i will like to congratulate Undefined Human for winning Storm Blast . This event Survivor Of The storm is the sequel of Storm Blast as we all know that due to the lack of time guest bands were not able to perform that day. A big round of applaud for the Organizers for doing the event for the Guest Bands who were not able to Perform that particular day. This is showing some sign of ethics among the organizers which is sure to be a good vibe in the year 2014. But as we can see during the event there were some stuffs that really impressed me as well as some errors did happened which was avoidable in my view.

The thing that made me salute to the organizers is that they gave opportunities to the Upcoming New Bands. There were some bands whom i heard for the first time. Apart from Undefined Human & Confuzone the 3  bands that caught our eyes were Disorder, Human Persecution, Garbage Inc. . They were pretty impressive. Our entire crew had heard them for the first time as we found them a bit unique and made up our expectation. Must thank Avinash and Bibek for exploring some really good upcoming Bands.

The Some of the key aspects of this Gigs Were  :-
  • Opportunities to new bands which is what we think was awesome.
  • Starting a year with a Metal gig which is a good sign for the scene which is evolving.
  • Doing a gigs sequel of the competition Storm Blast as Guest bands were not able to perform that day.

Drawbacks :-
  • Too many bands having around 11-12 bands was not something that we could digest.
  • 3 hours Delay.
  • Bands consuming way lot of time than required .
  • Inadequate monitors . Use of  Amps instead of Monitors . A least of 5 monitors were required but we found out only 3.
  • Weak Management.
  • Lack of co-operation and understanding between the people from the venue and the management company.

Talking in details now. Firstly i will like to ask some bands a question is it always Necessary to come bit late then the time you were ask to come. The thing that happened in the end i don't think blame should be made in one direction only. I will like to ask guys from Garbage Inc. you guys were awesome but knowing that the gig was on 1100hrs your responsibility was to come at 1030 and you guys came around 1230 do you think you guys did justice yet you guys stunned me by your music.

I want to ask the organizers even if the band didn't showed up until 1130 you guys could have started the gig with other bands.

Coming to Art Effects the statement they made was unrelevent . When the Band was asked to do the opening as Garbage inc. were not at the venue until then saying "The show is getting late we have a football match at this time can you put our slot bit behind" . Guys i have one thing to say you guys ONE THING AT A TIME EITHER YOUR FOOTBALL MATCH OR YOUR SHOW.

Coming to Raven i didn't get for sometime weather they were on there jamming room or on concert. What took too long for you guys to adjust guys you took around 45 minutes it was a way long time in such crisis of time. Our entire crew liked your originals and personally i was expecting a way lot form you guys.
Disorder you guys made my day. What impressed me was your showmanship and communication with the crowds. Emmense mosh and even Walls Of Death . I was really impressed when you guys tributed Bidroha with Raining Blood. You Guys for sure made me break my neck and forced me to join the mosh.

Undefined Human i guess i should not speak about you guys the pit spoke what i had to say. The only error that i found was of sound it was not as good as that of Storm Blast competition . You guys even made me break my neck.

Human Persecution honestly i was not expecting this much from you guys. I am not much in death core but mark my word i am really impressed by you guys and i wish you guys will be the name that will be remembered in long run in Bengal and North east India.

Coming to Confuzone a groove metal act from Darjeeling. I will not speak anything about them because i was behind there sound and i expect you guys who came to the show judge them as well as me for the sound and if any errors were there in there slot it would be my responsibility.

Strangle these guys were terrific everyone on the venue came in the pit in there slot and even i was stunned by the response that i saw for there new track. What i like about these guys is that they join the pit and thus there appearance in the stage shows there true genre HARDCORE. Do check the video.
Here is the link of the video

Coming to Wakk Thuu i dont think i have to speak about them . There music reflect what they are.

Now coming to the point. After Dying Out Flame entered the stage and did all there sound checks the line went of which was quite unusual because line went out as soon as they were about to start . The representative of the venue were saying that the fuse of the restaurant got damaged. One thing that i found strange no matter how big or small is the restaurants or venue they have backup for fuse and a generators. In my view it was obvious for the venue as i heard the contract was till 1900hrs and by the time Dying Out Flame was about to play it was almost 1900hrs. So i hope we all can understand but in this case we cant only blame the organizers because they too were helpless. What i want to convey to Red Devils Management is that if they care about there reputation then they too must think of the bands reputation as well. Had if the bands as well as the organizers understood the Value of time, such  delay had not occur and both BIDROHA and Dying Out Flame could have performed.

One last thing i will like to convey to the organizers
"Event managed way ma alik bhaena hijo. You guys did as best as you could but  if you could have acted a bit professional and if time limit was given it could have been a win win situation to everyone. Go for quality rather than quality. Let the lineup consist of 5 to 6 bands that will be enough"

One last thing to the bands
"Afule bajaune bhanne matra nasocha , timiharu le consume gareko extra time lae pachadi ko band lai ashar nagaros bhanne kura ni buja."

We cannot say anything to the venue because they just followed there contract and the main thing they gave the venue so Cheers to them as well. But i just want to say them one thing they must also be aware of the bands reputation as well at least euta geet garna deko bhae hunthyo it would had taken just 5 more minutes.

I hope in upcoming days my word shall be considered by everyone

Now rating the Gig.
