Narsamhaar an Aspiring Old School Death Metal Band from Pokhara

A month back we had talk with Subash from Narsamhaar . They are about to launch their album tomorrow ie 29th March and are going on tour from 29th March  until 5th April (GENOCIDE TOUR) . To know much about the event
(https://www.facebook.com/events/1472862052933684/)
To know much about Narsamhaar here you go
https://www.facebook.com/Narsamhaar.Nepal
While going through the interview you can go through the track Featuring Frank Calleja from the Malta Based Death Metal Giant BEHEADED
https://soundcloud.com/brutal_pokhara/narsamhaar-feat-frank-calleja
Can you say us something about Narsamhaar?
Narsamhaar is Nepali Death Metal band formed in 2010. We kept our genre as Nepali death metal band but we are also well known as old school death metal.

2010 to now how has been the journey so far?
So far we struggled so much to run our band continuously...We changed around 2 guitarists and 1 bassist till now. Talking about gigs we grabbed a lot of gigs till now inside the country and even outside. We are very much glad to share stage with grindcore king NAPLAM DEATH. Every things going on good till now hoping for positive result in coming days

So how did the name Narsamhaar came?
It’s a long story haha. Like i used to have my own band 5 years ago named AKELDAMA   . We guys used to play covers songs of pantera, sepultura etc. Then one day a guy came searching me outside of my home and asked me to play drums for the band KAAL and i met Dinesh, than we performed a lot of gigs in our hometown and once in kathmandu at original brutality 1st. After sometime KAAL broke up and we planned to form another band . Sagar and i used to work in same band AKELDAMA than i planned to keep Sagar in vocal and Dinesh on guitar and Dip in bass and me in drums.. Narsamhaar is like ashes of kaal and akeldama....

Talking about the line up Sagar went in military service and recently there was a saying that Hem from Kaal would be serving vocals for Narsamhaar but later it was officially announced Sumon from Aakrosh will be serving on vocals. Can we know about the exact recent lineup?
Currently Sumon Pun frontman of Aakrosh is handling on vocal and our guitarist Dinesh went abroad for study so Dipesh is going to handle guitars instead of Dinesh...

So it means Apart from Sagar and Dinesh the lineup is as it is?
Yes.

A few hours back had a bit talk with your band manager he told me that the album is on the initial stage of mixing and mastering when will the album be launched? Can we know about the progress?
Our album is almost done and everything’s going on perfectly and all songs are in stage of mastering. We have not announced date officially but plans going on i think we start our tour from end of March. We will try to announce tour date officially very soon..

GENOCIDE EUPHORIA can we know much about the album?
We kept our album name GENOCIDE EUPHORIA. We have 6 songs and 1 instrumental altogether we have 7 tracks. We have 2 songs in Nepali lyrics...

Ma marchu talai is one of my favorite songs of Narsamhaar and last years Valentine massacre was the first time I witnessed you guys for the first time.
Thanks man...

We are all aware of the scene their in Pokhara. It’s a normal thing to ask but we will like to know about the scene their in Pokhara in your Perspective.
Well talking about present metal scene of Pokhara we can say a lot of people are giving interest in metal music. We can see so many new faces in every gig but there are so many mother fucking posers in name of metal rather than pure metal heads i don’t know why I am confused, but we don’t have much more bands so we can't organize gig very often..

Fags are everywhere in the metal scene. So we will like to know apart from Narsamhaar which band do you think will be the dark horse on the Nepalese Death Metal scene?
Talking about Nepalese death metal scene we like so many bands like legendry UGRAKARMA, BINAASH as well DYING OUT FLAME..Snrmb Nepal

Talking about Narsamhaar tell us something about your new album?
We have decided to keep GENOCIDE EUPHORIA as our album name. We have 6 songs and one instrumental track and we r felling so proud to say that front man of BEHEADED Frank Cardassia going to sing our one song called Stock in homicidal awe.

So how did you guys approach the Malta death metal giant's for a song. It’s really a good thing that the foreign act participating and supporting Nepalese Bands.
Everything’s managed by our manager...so salute goes to our manager Zivon.

Yeah for sure. So how far is the recording process?
Everything is clear and we are waiting for final mastering.....

So Sagar left the band for army how hard was it for you guys to seek new vocalist and how far has Sumon sinked on flow of Narsamhaar?
We thought like we can’t get good vocalist as soon as possible as Sagar. So we decided like just to release our album without any gig's but later Sumon vai came in contact with us and he is also one of best vocal in death metal scene in Nepal as far as i know i do appreciate Sumon vai so much. We did practice just once but Sumon vai he had finished around all songs of ours in short period of time we all are working hard to come out as before as we used to be........

He for sure he is one of the best vocalist in Nepalese Death Metal scene and is a perfect substitute of Sagar. So can we hear Sumon’s vocals in the album?
You will find only Sagar's vocals in our coming album. We all are so happy and we are felling proud because we are able to release our album finally even Sagar and Dinesh are not with us right now but both of them they were awesome so let's see what going to happen in coming days...

Best wishes for the album. By the way which band influenced Narsamhaar?
Thanks mate. There are a lot of death metal bands and even other technical bands who inspire us. We do listen different bands. We like bands like Soreption, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Suffocation, Beheaded and many others bands...

So can you tell us the possible date of the album launch?
We are in plan. As our plan we are going to start our tour from 29th of March.

So rapid rounds tell us 10 albums one must have?
Autopsy: Several Survival
Black Sabbath: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Suffocation: Effigy Of The Forgotten
Cannibal Corpse: Torture
Asphyx: Last One On The Earth
Immolation: Dawn of Possesion
Beheaded: Recount Of Disembodiment
Soreption: Deterioration Of Minds
Dying Fetus: Desend Into Depravity
Deicide: Scars Of The Crucifix
Any message to fellow bands?
Just stick to your passion and practice hard! If you are into metal then you are in for lots of trouble and you should be ready for everything! If you are a cry baby or a poser than this genre is not for you. You should be ready to play in any shitty circumstances with very minimal or no return at all of the investments that you have made.
Lastly a space for you to ask if we SNRMB have forgotten to answer?

I think that’s all. Thank You for the interview!

A brief talk with Hassan Dozakhi

Multinational Corporation is an aspiring Grindcore / Hardcore / Crust bands from Lahore Pakistan . We had talked with Hassan Dozakhi. here we go with what we has to say ... to know much about Multinational Corporation You can go through their band page
https://www.facebook.com/multinationalcorporationspakistan
You can even go through their  EP http://multicorpgrind.bandcamp.com/album/jamat-al-maut-2
OR
DOWNLOAD IT :-http://www24.zippyshare.com/v/5370280/file.html
Before we begin can you say something about Multinational Corporation?
Multinational Corporations (MxCx for short) is a 2 piece grindcore/crust punk/hardcore band made by me and Sheraz Ahmed. We both also play for thrash band Foreskin but I guess this band is to express our grind side and to discuss the politics of Pakistan

Can you say us about the scene their in Pakistan?
I wouldn't call it a "scene" as such since it's pretty much a bunch of guys playing in a bunch of bands haha. In terms of the music, the quality is good and always improving. We have bands like Dionysus, Irritum, Tabahi, Myosis, Marg,Necktarium, etc who hold it down well but we don't have much gigs happening here. Maybe one gig once a year, where we have a lot of fun, but its far too less for people like me haha.

One gig a year that’s an unusual thing to hear.
Yeah. Unlike India, Nepal or even Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, we don't have many venues to do gigs at. The last concert that happened in my city was in a swimming pool last year. Lol. All the pubs, bars, and venues got banned in the 80s due to the Islamic leadership of General Zia so we have that motherfucker to blame.

That’s a bit unusual thing to hear. Honestly for the 1st time i am hearing such thing.
Yeah. But we're trying to make things better. Let's see what happens

Well the only thing we can say is best wishes. So Hassan before we Come to Multinational Corporations, we will like to know about yours and Sheraz's journey in this genre of music which still many society considers PAIN IN EARS?
When I and Sheraz met, he had just formed Dionysus and I had just formed Foreskin. We played a show together and we became good friends after that, forming Multinational Corporations with some other friends of ours. We later on kicked those useless kids out and went on our own route. In the meantime, Sheraz also joined Foreskin on guitar, while continuing to dazzle audiences with his high-powered doom metal band Dionysus along with other side projects such as Marwolaeth, Flaw, Ilhaam etc. I also have other side projects such as Nihilist Holiday and Kafir-E-Azam, both play different kinds of grind.

Coming back to Multinational Corporation how did the name came?
It was inspired by the Napalm Death song. We just randomly named the band, didn't think about it much lol.

Ahh Previously n 2013 July you guys had launched a promo can you say us something about it?
Yeah it featured 2 songs - Salaab and Advertisement Overdose in unmastered forms. Advertisement Overdose in fact had a different mix than the final EP version. Before the promo 2013 we also had a demo in 2011 called Equality with our original lineup.

Talking about the EP Jamat -al-Maut , must say its a 12.43 minutes of brain crushing 8 tracks . I really liked the entire tracks but if i had to choose one track Jamat -al-Maut will be on my 1st choice. Can you say us actually what does it means?
Jamat-al-Maut means Congregation of Death. It's actually a mix of the Urdu and Arabic language. If it was pure Urdu it would have been called Jamat-E-Maut, but we put an 'al' in the middle to mock the people who look at Saudi Arabia and Al Qaeda as their heroes. The album was named by the artist, Aneeq Zaman, who also has a killer grind/hardcore band called Throttle Instinct that you should check out

For sure will check them . By the way Hassan Apart from being part of many bands you even conduct interviews and as well as you are contributing for the upliftment of scene in Pakistan as well as in Global scene through your writings which is infact a real good thing and must say i respect you personally for that...
Thanks bro. I'm flattered. No one earns anything from this metal/punk/grind/etc shit dude. We just do it for the fun of it, and my reason's the same. If people read my interviews and reviews and got to know about Pakistan's scene then I'm happy. Personally I don’t give a fuck about the country, I'm not patriotic at all, but I do care about wherever I live and I want things to be relevant to my interests.

Yeah but many people take it as a earning source which sometimes i face as well when i have talk with some people. They directly merge it with earning without understanding that its passion that drives us to write and play the music..
Yah exactly . We have other shit to earn money with. We don’t want to corrupt our art with money. We earn money through real jobs and shit haha

Yes whoever i meet and have discussion on this topic i say them that its our passion that drive us to work rather then any fringes and benefits. If we go in depth we can even see that how materialistic and money oriented people have become.. By the way i have portrayed this saying with White collar Communism while going through the track and lyrics..
Thanks man, that's a very personal track to me since I've always felt that the rich people and upper class in Pakistan always fuck the lower class. And in Pakistan a lot of them do it while using the communist and socialist rhetoric of Marx, Lenin, Mao etc. Absolute hypocrisy - talking about equality while drinking expensive coffee.

Exactly . By the way Hassan talking about Grind/Hardcore / Punk it is a kind of genre having sarcastic and double meaning lyrical themes . Awaring and talking about wrong aspects in society in a sarcastic way is the theme of grind but nowadays we see direct insult of people or things do you think that is fare enough or justic to GRINDCORE?
I think the lyrical themes of pure old school grindcore should always stay concerned with society, and politics. But as far as directly insulting people goes, it's not my sort of thing, and I don't know of any bands who do it (directly insulting politicians is another thing, I welcome it haha) but whatever floats people's boats. I'm not a preacher here to tell people what to do.

So Hassan can you say us which albums (any genres) are you tuning nowadays?
I'm listening to a lot of classic garage rock by Velvet Underground, Iggy and the Stooges, New York Dolls, as well as Gothic Rock like The Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus. Also some 80's punk bands like Husker Du, Naked Raygun, Black Flag.. even some electronic like Aphex Twin and Die Krupps. I have a very varied music taste! Haha.

Any gigs or any new demo launch from your projects as well?
Yeah. Kafir-E-Azam is working on a split with Matka Teresa, Nihilist Holiday is doing a split with Zombie X Incest and Snuffx, and some big news from Foreskin is incoming.. also, I'm looking to start some black or death metal projects when I have the time hehehe. Multinational Corporations has plans to do some splits, we have had some offers but let's see.

Can we expect gigs from Multinational Corporations?
YES we are looking into playing some brutal gigs. Foreskin guitarist Amar Ali will join on drums for our live set.

I am sure its going to be insane, and hoping to know about the dates of gigs soon as well..
Cheers bro. If there weren’t so many visa regulations in our region we'd already be touring Nepal and India haha

That’s for sure haha. By the in the talk i forgot to ask you regarding your articles as well So when can we get to read your upcoming article cause going through it once never quenches me?
Soon! I’ve gotten free from recording so I'm going to interview and review some bands soon..

Will be waiting for it. By the way we are almost at the end now any thing you want to share with the upcoming bands. I am sure you have a way lot of resources which will help way lot of upcoming bands to grow?
Yeah. Don't wait around for people to help you. Do shit yourself. If you don't have money, save them and get better equipped. It may take years but it will be worth it - just compare our first 2011 demo with our latest EP. Also, always be honest with music and keep discovering all sorts of music. Don't limit yourself in anything!
Any message to your fans and followers? I am including myself in it as well because i really get to learn and implement some ideas from your writing?
Just work hard and enjoy yourself. Always improve yourself. I'm just a fucking lowlife so don't look up at someone like me haha

Haha for sure . Lastly a space for you to say if we SNRMB have forgotton to ask you or we forgot to mention?
Nope, this was quite an extensive interview! haha

Thank you Hassan for your time..
Cheers!

Review Vultures will feed Vol -I

So March begins and on the very 1st day there was 2 gigs on the valley of woods. Vultures will feed at Lasha Bar and Shadows in Shades E.P launch in Purple Haze Bar. Due to the clash in the date we had to select one and we decided to attend Vulture will Feed. The lineup was as follows
Breakneck
Disorder
Zombie X Incest
Nude Terror
Wakk Thuu
Undefined Human
Dying out Flame
Jugaa

Before we begin we will like to Thank Anish for such a magnificent gig. We will also like to Thank Possible International Educational Consultancy for supporting and powering the gig. As we all can see that Possible Education consultancy  runned by a group of youths supported the event. Its good to see that even consultancy are powering and supporting metal shows a big round of applaud to them. We hope that they will provide support to the events in the long run which will thus help to make the scene much more stronger. Well, must say that its a good sign that the concept of today’s youths are changing in a positive way towards metal music.

Now coming to the event must say that this was one of my best gigs that I've attended in past couple of years.  The concert Vultures will Feed was dedicated to the hardcore giants Jugaa who themselves headlined the event. This show was on my eyes and in fact was waiting for this gig as I had dreamed to witness them which became possible after 3 years. Before we procede any further I want to say something to the Venue management of Fluid bar. I don’t think it’s fair enough to void the contract at the 11th hour and make a rigid demand of unexpected price for venue .  Horns up to Lasha Bar for providing the venue at the last moment. I want to say some thing to the venue providers “Manmani garnae ni euta limit huncha it’s  business act like professionals. Kta Kti jasto way ma deal nagara . If you are so businesses oriented then remember that your act is responsible for affecting your goodwill and relation’s.”

Coming back to the event it started around 1330 opened by newly formed band’s of kids of age 14- 15 Breakneck . This was their 1st show. It’s good to see that a new generation is emerging in the scene. Firstly, we entirely SNRMB team will like to say “Welcome To The Underground Scene”. I guess now you guys have visualized how our scene is and I hope you guys will continue your music. I urge you guys to practice hard you guys have potential and we hope to see you guys live soon being much tighter. I don’t think we can judge you guys on your 1st try keep your moral up and practice as hard as you can without hampering your studies. What I request to all our fellow brothers out their we must support these kids if we can provide proper mentor to these kids they have potential to do something . I urge the entire bands and the scene related people that if you by instance are their when they are practicing do help them and guide them. We ourselves must mentor the upcoming bands. Breakneck one message to you guys “Practice hard kids no pain no gain . Aaja mehenat gara, I am sure you guys can make it through. Don’t regret that you guys just played one track slowly and steady wins the race I hope you guys got what I mean”

Secondly DISORDER pure old school pure thrash I am really happy that these guys are taking their music seriously and are practicing regularly that was clearly seen in their slot. Man these guys for sure bricked my neck. I just have one complain guys it would have been an extra flavor if you guys could focus on your originals.

Then Zombie X Incest Powerviolence act. Man these guys are getting tighter every time I see them. Best wishes for your bands future. Hoping to get some more power in your upcoming gig . Way to go Zombies.

After Zombie Nude Terror was next man for sure you could have evaluate from the extreme moshpit . I guess this much is enough to describe their terror in the stage. Must say a killer slot.

After Nude Terror Wakk Thuu was next to terrorize. This time they were up with some new tracks as well. I don’t think I have to say anything those who were their witnessed what I mean.

Followed by Undefined Human a pure old school death metal band all the way from Hetauda. I have been seeing them from past 1 years and every time i see them , they are growing  stronger. These guys are way too serious in their music and are the dark horse in coming days.

Dying out flame guys do you think I have to say anything about them. I just want to say them Congratulations for the successful global launch of Shiva Rudrastakam title track I am just waiting for their album to be released by the end of May. Can’t wait to grab the CD. Man I was out for a minute and I could feel the impact outside as well many people were outside listening their track well inside the arena we don’t have to say how it was. And Lastly Happy Birthday Aabeg.

Lastly Jugaa was on the stage every moment from the beginning every one of those who attended the gig was waiting for them to start. I just want to say they destroyed everything. The power was so intense that even I couldn't stop. I gave all my gadgets to my friend and entered the pit.

I have been attending the gigs from many years and trust me this has been one of my best gig so far and I am extremely happy that this time each and every bands were able to play their slot and must admit killer lineup.

Coming to sounds hats off to Paathsala.

Now rating the gig
                                                            (10/10)

Way to go Anish even in such crisis you gave one of the most memorable gig that will be hard to forget. Its not just me who is saying this but it’s the voice of each and everyone who witnessed the event.

And I hope the things mention above will be kept in mind by the venue as well.
