Before i start i hope all you viewers had awesome time yesterday on Krishna Asthami. Well for you peoples information there was a gig called Hami Sab Ek Hau presented by Kera entertainment if you missed it then i guess you should check this review as well as the photos published by us as well as other people on your list who attended yesterday.
In this season of drought of gigs, a new event organizing group Kera had came up with there first event "Hami Sab Ek Hau" a complete package with bands like Strangle, Shannon Scam, Wakk Thuu and many more. It was a complete Punk/Hardcore package headlined by Wakk Thuu and co-headlined by Shannon Scam. According to the organizers, in upcoming days they will come with Death Metal/Black Metal and many genres of metal gigs in a mixed manner.Talking about the event The name "Hami Sabai Ek Hau", the organizers took this name so as to accumulate all genres of metal in collective way and spread the vibes of supporting each other for enlistment .
Now talking about the event it started around 1400hrs with around 100 hardcore heads. The line up was as below

Due to some unavoidable conditions. Overcome and Youth Unite were not able to perform. As well as i was not able to attend gig until FIOD performed as i was outside due to some work.But seeing the energy and the atmosphere around, i was pretty assured that they were awesome. Strangle the real Keras were preparing themselves when i started my work and trust me they were awesome and there showman ship fascinating and impressive. The best thing about them was that all the band members were moshing with the crowds and performing especially Avinash (The Real man behind Kera). He was on the pit entire time while performing which was total Old School. And other interesting thing about them is there songs were catchy and themed much about Life, Love, Sex and politics in a sarcastic way. Immense moshpit gave much energy to the surrounding and what i feel about this band is. They are the dark horse of the Underground scene of Kathmandu and are sure to rise on near future.
After Strangle, the next set was of Shannon Scam. I guess we don't have to talk much about them Pure hardcore Pure HCX. They are hardcore band who have been digging pit from a way long time. Recently on DISHARMONY-4 they celebrated there 10th Anniversary. 10 fucking years that's a way long time and they can be considered legends from my perspective. What i know about them is they are the other cult band from Nepal and as usual they added fuel to the crowd. This was the first time i heard them live and trust me they made me there die had fan. Extremely sick on pit headbanging can be said to represent Shannon Scam. I just wanna say one thing about Shannon Scam
"BOW DOWN TO THIS OLD GIANTS"
Finally the last slot by Wakk Thuu they headlined the event. I think it will be useless talking about them. In every Extreme music fans Wakk Thuu is a common name. in my view they are the most brutal and extreme band from Nepal and i guess all of you are aware about there following. The only difference you will see is that on Skins Jayram is not there but instead of him Prachanda from Dying Out Flame is serving the duty for Drums on Wakk Thuu within Kathmandu and Sarbesh from Aakrosh will be serving on drums for Wakk Thuu in long tours in and out the boundaries of Nepal . As per there Front man jay will be inert for 2 years as he is learning much about drums and wanna grow much strong on his drumming then today and will be back on band on future. That's why they don't have a permanent drummer recently. Blast drumming extreme riffs on guitars and bass are there specialty which they showed to the crowds who had just heard about them but never heard them. About the vocals of Vishal its just awesome . Some people were really amused knowing that there is a song which is as long as 3 secs. Before they played they expressed there gratitude to the organizers and as well as proclaimed that there there dream came true performing with SC. They tribute this gig to Late Jesse Pintado Father of Grind (Former front man of Grind gods Napalm Death) who passed 7 years back . Every one was digging pit. Moshing but all of a sudden, had an abrupt end as a brawl broke up due to some people on the crowds and that guy was beaten and thrown out cause immense damage was made to a guitar of one of the bands.
Now about the things i noted out.
- The venue was good
- All bands were extremly energetic and as well as there was a good respond from the crowds.
- Talking about the drawback, although the sound system Provided by Unity Sound Service was good but there were inadequate monitors. Even for a small gigs a minimum of 3 monitors is a must but only one monitor was provided
- Drummers were complaining they were not able to hear properly what there fellow members were playing
- The other thing that struck me was the brawl.
We all usually complain to the organizers about this and that but we never try to realize that because of us sometimes the organizers get into trouble. Due to the Brawl, one members guitar was damaged and also the venue faced some damage which i believe is due to the mismanagement of both the venue providers as well as the organizers. Knowing its an underground gig the venue providers must have kept away the fragile showpiece away. As well as the organizers had to kept some security yet they did there best but failed on that. Had if adequate security the brawl would have been avoided.
Lastly i wanna give a message to all the metal heads out there.
"DON'T EXPECT JELLY BEANS ON THE PIT. ONCE YOU ENTER THE PIT BE PRETTY SURE TO EAT SOME FIST AND ENJOY SOME BRUTES ALL OVER. IF YOU AIN'T ACCEPT THAT , GO HOME AND MOSH ALL ALONE IN YOUR ROOM OR DON'T INVOLVE YOURSELF IN PIT AND PUT YOURSELF OUT OF TROUBLE"
