EUMSN/ Wakk Thuu's Frontman Vishal Rais Interview

Every one knows about wakk thuu and EUMSN if you are a Metalhead from Nepal. We don't think we have to talk much about them. We had a short talk with Vishal. If you don't know about E.U.M.S.N and Wakk Thuu you can check there page.
Wakk Thuu :-https://www.facebook.com/WakkThuu?ref=br_tf
E.U.M.S.N :-https://www.facebook.com/EUMSN?ref=br_tf

Since many people have only read about WAKK THUU in your interview we will come with as minimum as possible regarding wakk thuu. Firstly how was the bands India tour?
India Tour was awesome, it was a huge experience. Before also we went to Darjeeling in 2012 but this time travelling bottom of India was another big and huge experience. Also, Undergrind was one of the dream fest that Wakk Thuu ever wanted to play. We really had a hard times traveling but, playing in New Place in front of new people was such a huge experience along with foreign bands in line up.In short, the tour was highly successful because, after every show we got a positive response from the people and lots of hugs and drinks. Ha Ha Ha. After seeing us there, we were called up again to do shows in Bangalore and Calcutta in 2014.

We hope for that. Dai you have gone up with way lots of ups and down in life. You even set up an extreme society so as all extreme bands get opportunity. Do you think that your vision has been projected perfectly?
Talking about EUMSN, It’s slowly working, see we cannot expect everything to change in blink of an eye. We need to have patience for this because most of the minds are set with trendy stuffs. So unless this trend doesn’t dies within their mind Extreme Metal is not safe. Though, in last one year I have seen lots of changes, how people leaving trendy stuffs and started to listen brutal stuffs, they are coming to gigs and paying for tickets and also funding the bands in tour. They are buying local bands merchs, cds and also doing fan signs for local bands. Now there are group of boys in Pokhara, Hetauda, Baglung, Darjeeling, Calcutta and here in Ktm who is working hard to spread extreme metal and under their guidance lots of new death metal and grind core bands are coming up. Also, they are putting up gigs and sharing bands with each others, and also they are helping young ones to pick up instruments. And i call this is change because, when you get into extreme metal there is no turning back because, this is life style. Not a one season fashion walk that you do to impress someone. If we are not wrong then due to these boys the extreme tour was a success.

Doing a tour without any sponsors is a thing to respect. The final league is merged with sick fest how is the respond from fellow metal crowds?
Yes,a lots of extreme metal heads joined us in the tour, they toured with band and experienced the whole band thing. Then they exactly knew touring is not a cup of tea, it really needs lots of support from fellow metal heads and cash too. The crowd was supportive and we really feel bad because, we have to merge the two gigs Sick Fest and Extreme Tour but, we know that those who know the bands in bill and are part of Extreme Tour are aware with the facts. We really don't want this but, we have to. Sometimes we just have to pull ourselves for our own good and for others good too. Looking forward for Sick Fest because, there are 4 bands from the Extreme Tour Line up.

Pretty excited about that. I just heard that your other band KROADH which was hibernating from a quite long time is coming back on the kill rampage is it just a rumor or a true news?
It’s a rumor only because, Kroadh is dead already with Drummer becoming Sadhu and Guitarist leaving Australia to pursue his grade in Jazz. But, Canibal Forest will come back soon with killer line up and already some songs are in making process. Lets see how fast I can bring this to you all.

We see a way lot of instability in the scene nowadays especially on those bands members which who have made almost near to an international benchmark. Can you share us your view?
I guess, lack of patience and in rush of fame people decides roughly for them. When you are playing in a extreme band you really need lots of patience and passion because, you know that you are playing for a bunch of die hard fans not for a huge amount of crowd, like in rock shows. And i really have no hard feelings when people calls it quit because, it’s their choice and you cannot stop them. So, everyone who left the extreme metal must have thought of something else. I wish them good luck and hope to cross each others path in next few years. For me, extreme metal is passion and I don’t intend to make money from this. If I want to make money for myself then I will be cleaning dish at some hotel.

In this period of almost  years we even know each other personally quiet well and in our talk in initial days you said us metal is that form of music that must be kept raw and away from being commercialized . We have understood it pretty well. Dai can you share the reason why with our viewers as well?
What I really mean is, I have seen lots of school going boys who claims they are metal heads growing long hair and wearing rings, bracelets, bullet belts etc. Why is that? You are going to school, to learn something so you can have a bright future, so fucking respect the institution and teachers out there. You have your whole life to do it. So until you are in school be good to yourself and to your future. Don't give any people wrong impression about metal. And also these kids want to smoke and drink in gig, fuck you bachha. You are too stupid to be in metal. You are just a fucked up shit who is ruining yourself. You are not metal because, metal is not about destroying yourself. Ok i have seen many times, so called metal heads playing some metal songs in public transport from their phone. And this is really annoying to some people out there. Please behave yourself; you don't have to come in public to show yourself, you are a metal head. And also why do we are walking like a Norwegian with corpse paint in Holi? Why are we bringing up distorted guitars in deusi vailo? Such are the thing that really pisses me off. So stop being commercial metal because, you are really a fucked up shit in the name of metal. Death to such faggots, you are such a fashionable dick that even Rekha Thapa fucking hates you.

In name of musician some wolves costumed themselves as sheep have been attacking scene by jacking off fellow artists gags ,fraud, as well as playing with sentiments of people and recently the same case happened. Let’s not say the name but that guy was considered one of the futures of the scene here in Nepal. Feel free say your views regarding this issue?
You see, when a man is destined to do something like, if they makes up their mind to do certain thing, he will do it. He will not think which way to go, either the good way or bad way he wants to get there. The only thing matter to him is, his dream and what has he thought of himself. So, i suggest fellow people to be practical too because, this is real world and you are living in the world where one man death is another man life. So don't be a stupid fucking joke in your face, deal with the fucking reality. I hate people who cry and moans and talks behind, You either have to get opportunity or you have to bring opportunity to yourself. So, be calm because, you cannot stop this world from moving.

Coming back to wakk thuu again can we have the fixed new lineup?
There is no line up changes; Wakk Thuu is still Rozan on guitars, Sarbesh and Prachanda on drums, Bhufan and Aabeg on Bass Myself(Vishal) on vocals. Though, Jay has insisted us he will be back after two years and also he is writing new materials for Wakk Thuu.

The tees of ja mar kukur was indeed a success. Dai there is a question on everyone’s mind when will wakk thuu hit studio for an album?
Yes, the tees were sold out. Ha Ha Ha. Yeah sooner or later we will have an album. Like I said, when you have a beautiful wife you can fuck her anytime. So, there is no rush but, soon we are doing a live album for some foreign labels.

Can you say the top 5 albums that on your view once should have?

Well this is really tough because, there are no top 5ive always.... But, my playlist always contains Dismember, Unleashes, Vomitory, Napalm Death, Nasum, Anal Cunt, Extreme Noise Terror, Nausea, Death, Suffocation, Seed, Kreator, Exodus etc.

As per your view the 2 bands from Nepal who will be the Name of Nepali metal scene?
This is absolutely stupid question because; bands here are just another brick on the wall. A band comes and they give a bit to local scene and when time comes, they move with their personal life. So, it’s not about face of Nepali Metal Scene, it’s about how much you give to this scene to keep it alive. Bands should focus more on giving to local scene rather than trying to become the face of Nepali Metal Scene. As long you are in band and in this scene, give your best and play real and help the young bands around you, give them your thoughts about metal and support them.

Message to all extreme metal bands followers?
Come to local bands shows, buy tickets and merchs, cds. Talk about them, share them and keep it real, sick and brutal.

There is a saying in the scene that you don’t prefer light metal and even many people say they don’t have guts to talk with you regarding that. What do you want to say to them? What does light metal means to you?
I am not against some old school rock and blues, jazz stuffs. I like lots of old school music but, I only don't like trendy stuffs like Metalcore, Deathcore etc. because, this is not metal. Its just a trend that few faggots brought to light with the help of some big corporate house. So, fuck all these trendy bands and their ass pricking guitar riffs and shitty vocals. See, Glam metal died, Nu Metal died and eventually this two trends will die too because, its not real. They are fake, started by just a bunch of kids who wanted to sound brutal and really have shitty and awful (trying to sound like death) metal vocals.

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here? Come to local gigs and know your local bands, and talk about them and share them. And don't you fucking dare to hurt metal. And don't be a pretentious douche, if you cannot handle real metal then go find your music through radio and tv, anyway, they are always looking for stupid people to like them and follow them. Cheers to all those fucked up media and bands out there for giving their dicks to kinds. I know, you all enjoy when kids sucks your numb cock.
Lastly we will like to inform all the people out there that in 11th Jan 2014 they are doing a gig NEPAL DEATH FEST. Here is the link of the event

Southern Warfront an aspiring Black metal band from Brazil

So say us something about Southern Warfront?

The Southern Warfront was formed in 2003 with the proposal to make War Black Metal. The band has toured in several places in Brazil over the years. With various materials launched, the Southern Warfront will release  main cd in early  2014  titled  Storm  Division.
Discography:

2006-With our Arm/demo tape
2007-Die or March/demo tape (re- release Australia)
2007-Command War/demo tape
2007-Attack of South/demo tape
2008-Live in Porão Alcoolico Metal /demo tape
2010 – In Times of War /mcd

Can you say the meaning of Southern Warfront?

Means that we are ahead of southern Brazil war, because we are located in the south of our country. We are the war front.

Can we say Southern Warfront as an Black Metal band instead of War Metal?

We have entitled War Metal, we use a lot more black metal in the part of  anti  Christianity.  In fact we would be our War Black Metal label.

Which band influences Southern Warfronts music?

Marduk , Burzum, Dissection, Bathory, Sarcófago …

Can we know about the Lineup?

Executioner[Vocals & Guitar]
Lord Volk[Guitar]
Necroterrror[Bass]
Count War [Drummer]

So Any project on the pipeline?

No

As far as we are aware Brazil is known for its Thrash and hardcore metal scene. Can you tell us about the scene there in Brazil?

Yes, the thrash metal scene in Brazil is very strong, but the Black Metal scene is not too far behind, there are many good bands here. The only weak thing at the scene of Brazil also is having shows only on weekends, is not like Europe that could have shows every day and whenever public good. But the scene in Brazil is very strong and is growing increasingly.

Are you guys are aware of Nepali scene? Along with this we want to ask you apart from your band any aspiring bands on your views that is sure to rise from Brazil in future?

Yes, we are aware of the scene of Nepal, here in Brazil we always like to find out how the other countries and how there scene works \m/. I believe that a great influence and the best band in Brazil is the SARCÓFAGO, is a band that espirou various musicians from around the world.

What obstacle does the band has to face there in Brazil to put up a metal band which society considers pain in ear?

Here in Brazil I think the main obstacle is doing shows, the bands most often have to pay their transportation and food to get playing live , apart from that , the scene here is very strong. As I mentioned in the answer above, without a doubt nor a SARCÓFAGO.

You guys are from the land where legendary bands like Krisun, Sepultura and Soulfly belongs and as well as the Rio metal fest  how does it feel seeing all this motivational aspects . Do you think this have helped bands to work much harder there?

Yes, here in Brazil has great bands, besides those that you have mentioned the Sarcófago, Chakal, GoatPenis, Holocausto, Nervochaos and many other bands. The Brazil is very rich in good bands. Regarding the Rock in Rio, this event sucks, besides metal they mix other crap in the middle, pop, dance and so on, this Rock in Rio is a shame for Brazil in Relation to the metal.

So how far has your Journey gone from 2003?

The band began its activities in 2003, in time to him was called Storm Division and then changed the band name to War Front and then put Southern Warfront. Always had difficulty from 2003 to 2010 with formation, because no we thought never the right warriors to follow along with us, but today we are well line-up believe the best training we have ever had without doubt. Now we are finishing our recordings and probably be launched by mids of 2014

So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up and top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Brazils Metal and abroad?

La Grande Danse Macabre – Marduk
Filosofem – Burzum
Twilight of the Thunder God – Amon Amarth
Under the Sing of the Black mark – Bathory
Inri – Sarcófago
Reinkaos – Dissection
The Somberlain - Dissection
Now, Diabolical – Satyricon
Fallen Angel of Doom – Blasfhemy
In The Nightside Eclipse - Emperor

So we are almost at our end of interview any message to the fans as well as fellow bands from RAKTAPYAS? And a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

I want to thank Raktapyas and SNRMB for the opportunity to be interviewed. And readers who wish to know more About Southern Warfront band, please contact us or our page, enjoy it on the social networks, we appreciate for your attention.

Check them in Reverbnation as well

Tell us something about homicide in brief
The band performs the style of music that is Technical/Brutal Death metal, drawing influences from acts like Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Vital Remains, Hate Eternal, Origin, Hate, Suffocation, Necrophagist, Death, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Deicide, Behemoth, Belphegor, Psycroptic, Dying Fetus, Quo Vadis, Bloodbath, Decapitated, Severe torture,The Faceless and lots more. Our lyrics tell about Violence, Torture, Suicide, Rage, Social disorder, Domination, Death, Gore, Darkness, Historical war and Mythologies etc. The band has covered songs from Cannibal Corpse, Nile & Origin. They have released their demo called "Reign Of Spartacus" with limited copies of CDs on January of 2013. On August 17th Homicide released their debut EP titled 'Annihilation Pit' from Infinite Regress Records (Australia).

So homicide what does the name mean ?
HOMICIDE, Represent Violence, Murder Etc In one word You Can Say The killing of One Person By Another.

Haha so can we know the lineup?
Yes HOMICIDE Is Istiaque on Vocals & Lyrics Butchered On Guitars & Vocals Anas on Bass Banxai On Drums

Having talks with other bands from Bangladesh we have known a bit more of the scene there can you give us a brief about your scene in bands perspective?
Alright, Scene Here in Bangladesh is Growing and Evolving. A lot of bands are really doing great job. Most of the bands now in UG scene here is Thrash Metal. You can say it's a Thrash Metal Era Now for our scene. We have few number of death metal bands. Most of the Death metal bands are either in pause or Split-up. This year Severe Dementia has gone for a break through this concert Bengal Regiment.

Before we move further ahead we would like to congratulate homicide for there tour to happen in 2014s first quarter one here in NEPAL and later in AUSTRALIA. How excited are you guys about the tour?
Haha Thanks A lot. We are quite excited about both of the tours. We are Working Hard on our full length. We will be playing tracks from our full length in tours. Currently we are done with two new tracks. We can't wait to go live with those. About Nepal Tour, Bands Like Severe Dementia And Abominable Carnivore Already toured there from Bangladesh, Now It's time to take this to a new level. And we will try our best. And we would like to thanks Nepal Deathfest for giving us the opportunity to represent Bangladesh this time, Trust Me We are going to rip off Nepal. About the Australian Tour, It will be happening this year mid we are actually waiting for the dates to be Announced. So yeah We Are working really hard on both of the tours and quite excited for the full length. Let's see what's come out of it.

Well we are excited to know about it. Any recent updates like gigs in December?
No Gigs In December, We cancelled most of the Gigs, we are really busy for our full length it has to be done by 2014 December. At this moment our country is going through a bad face because of the political condition. It will be alright after the election. So until January no gigs.

Jan 11 here in Nepal Death fest any message to Nepali fans?
They are going to Witness Bangladesh's One of the finest Death Metal acts. And We know what you guys want And Guess What? We will Bring Down "HADES" For you guys. Severe Breathing Until. . . The Annihilation Pit Begins.

For sure so can we know which band influence Homicide?
We mainly follow Nile, Cannibal corpse, psycroptic, Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Death, Morbid Angel, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Origin, The faceless, Napalm Death And Necrophagist.

As we all know scene is also evolving there like that of Nepal what obstacles does the band has to face there to put up a metal band which society considers pain in ear?
Haha, Yes It's really Tough For Us here. In our Point of view, As In HOMICIDE As a Tech death band. We are suffering a lot. There is no promoter And Investor for us. Having Limited Crowd, we are still doing it. Maybe for the love of music we have. Long hair, Black T-shirts with Brutal Art work Bother's people a lot here. But recently everything is changing, some of the Magazine And news papers are promoting Metal music here, Which is A good thing. You can have update of UG Gig's with line up and venue Details in Newspapers. We are organizing Quality gig's also, Organization like Metal Morgue and Primitive Invocation Is There Who's Bringing Quality bands from Abroad. The Bottom Line Is It's Rising Up Because When They Saw Extreme Metal Bands Are Releasing Their Materials From Abroad They are Showing Interest In that. Severe Dementia, orator, Homicide, Dissector, Enmachined, Morbidity,Nuclear Winter, Abominable Carnivore, Jahiliyyah, And More to Come. The Day Is Not Far we will call Some Major Extreme Metal Bands to Play Here in Bangladesh. Fingers Crossed. Haha

As far as we know the scene is evolving there as well and we are both aware of scene there in Bangladesh and here in Nepal. In your perspectives which are the two aspiring bands from there in Bangladesh and here in Nepal?
Yes We Are Concerned About the Scene. In Nepal for Me It Would Be Ugra Karma In the first Place And It's really Hard to Name only two bands Haha Not Fair Enough!!! Dying out flame, Wakk Thuu, BIDROHA Is in My List. And In Bangladesh Definitely Severe Dementia and Orator . Besides HOMICIDE hahaha. But We Have More Promising Bands. . The List Is Long As Fuck!!!!

Yeah we know about that personally i too like Severe dementia, G V, Jahiliyyah, dissector and many more. Haha keeping aside my personal taste we will like to ask does the things that we face in daily life affect your music?
Not At All

Death of immortals is one of my favourate of homicide and i really liked this part of the lyrics
'I saw the valor of those eyes
Death is illusion
Tearing flesh from the bone
Melting eyes, melting brain
Chortle of traitors
Death of Immortals
Spit on your betrayal Spit on your psyche
The ceremony of bloodbath
Death of Immortals'
Can you say us the theme of this song?
Thanks, For Your Kind Words.. The Ep "Annihilation Pit" Is Focused On Greek Mythology. You Can Say It's A sequel of Legion The IX. About A Spartan Warrior Who Stuck In Assault Pit. All About The A Legend Who Is Dead But Not For the History. We All Remember Those Legends Don't We ? Haha

Yes we do. Ok guys say us something about your new album which is on the production?
Alright, we are going to change recording studio this time for better sound. We have already composed two new tracks for our full length. At Nepal Death they will witness both of this tracks, besides We will come up with New Art work of our Demo release Called "HADES" Including Merchandise. And it's going to be more technical then the previous Releases. Hope you all will like them.

For sure brother. HOMICIDE was initiated in Dec 2008 five years how is this going. Can you guys share us your ups and down in band?
Thursday
Yes It's Been A while Doing Music. HOMICIDE Started In 2008 December With Eshtiaque, Leon And Anas. After That They Struggled A Lot For Drummer And A Good Guitarist. In late 2009 I joined the band As Drummer and after That Butchered. It's a great Fun Doing Music with Such People Who Loves the same Genre. And As Soon As We Found Butchered We Started Composing Our Materials. Seeking for Good Production House Was A bit Painful for Us. And We Had An Aim We Jammed A Lot For Getting Ourselves Ready For Gig. After When We Were Ready Science Then We All Are Having A Great Time. Our Track List Is Going High Day by Day. And We Are Busy all the time this is the Best Part. And we love doing this, Non Stop Release No Break; I guess that's How We Roll. . . . .

You guys are under an Australian label can you say something about them as well how did the offer came and stuffs?
Well, IRR is absolutely amazing. Basically, I mailed our mastered songs to the label we had Options and I found out IRR Is Better then others.Lindon and Steve, They are great people indeed. And they liked our tracks and agreed to sign Homicide immediately. And so far it’s been a great experience for me to work with them. Homicide has plans for gigs in Australia. We will Hit Australia Mid 2014.We also have plans for our full length album this year if things go well some other renowned Record label is interested for signing HOMICIDE I am not going to mention their name time will witness that. About the promotion, IRR Did a great job! It is beyond our expectations and we thank them for the immense support. Not only IRR, each and every band from IRR is helping us.

Thats for sure having a helpful management/label really inhances the morale of upcoming bands. How has it helped boosting morale of upcoming bands there in Bangladesh?
Definitely, As I stated before It's A real boost for Bangladeshi bands indeed. After signing the label we have got recolonization world wide through our label. And no matter how good music you do label matters a lot. it's quite difficult for a band to maintain music and management at the same time. having a record label is a relief i guess at lest for us. Previously bands here used to cover a lot. When Renowned bands here got sign with record labels many bands has started making their own materials, For me it's a major boost up of the scene here.

So tell us your dream fest line up and 10 albums one must have?
Ahhh !!! Our dream fest line up would be : Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Vital Remains, Hate Eternal, Origin, Hate, Suffocation, Necrophagist, Death, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Behemoth, Belphegor, Psycroptic, Dying Fetus, Quo Vadis, Bloodbath, Decapitated, Severe torture,The Faceless, fleshgod apocalypse. . . And Albums? Again Unfair Questions There are So many Albums . .

Sacrilege: Well, Sacrilege is a young Thrash Metal band from Bangladesh. Sacrilege is just a few shows old. As a band we are still trying to explore our music and trying to create our own sound.

Can we say Sacrilege as a Thrash Metal Band?
Sacrilege: Yes, of course.

Which band influences Sacrilege’s music?
Sacrilege: Every member of this band comes from different musical background and has their own influences. As a band, we are inspired by Exodus, Sodom, Slayer,Havok, Warbringer, Evile, Powersurge, Black Sabbath etc

Sacrilege: None at the moment. We are focusing on making songs now. But when it will appear to us that we are ready and mature enough for an EP, we will hit the studio.

As we all know scene is also evolving there like that of Nepal what obstacles does the band has to face there to put up a metal band which society considers pain in ear?
Sacrilege: Yes it is growing slowly. The year 2013 has been quite significant and fruitful for Bangladeshi Metal scene. More bands are touring abroad now. There is nothing major that we face from the society. Metal music is not something that big in Bangladesh as yet. So there is not much that we face from the society except for the stares hahah!

You guys are aware of Nepali scene as well say us one band from here as well as Bangladesh who are sure to rise in future?
