If you haven't heard them you van stream them in reverbnation as well link as below :-
http://www.reverbnation.com/confuzone?page_view_source=facebook_app
Tell us something about CONFUZONE?
"...CONFUZONE...!!!" ...As the name itself creates a bit confusion...oh well somewhere sometimes most of the time in our lives we enter the ZONE... the zone of confusion... and in this zone...sometimes we tend to lose ourselves ...and at times we find ourselves...all in all...we learn some...or...we win some...and yeah somewhere in the midst of confusion there is a solution...!!! ...therefore...we're the band...based on the both good n' bad experience...we got to face inside the ZONE... " CONFUZONE " ...\,,/...\,,/ ...roll on...live on...enjoy....

So when was the band formed?
We are a very brand new band.....from the hills....just formed last year in December...(Dec- 2012)

Strings : Tarpan Sarki,
Bass Strings : Kunal Kharga Chettri,
Beats : Pranay Gurung (Zinxxx)

So recently you guys had a gig at Calcutta how was it?
No....not actually a gig...but we were selected for the prelims of the national level band competition.....synchronicity IIT Kanpur....along with us there were 9 other bands on the stage....and from those bands 3 bands ll be selected for the finals....from the Calcutta zone...so hopefully we are waiting for the results...which is to be declared by tonight...

Any future projects?
we are thinking about releasing an EP till the end of next year....

So we have heard you guys are participating in STORM BLAST COMPETITION to be held in kathmandu how is the prepairation going?
It's going on well...but due to the festive occasion of dashain we have halt for a few days.

So until now how many gigs have you played so far?
Just two..

Do you guys consider yourself as a groovy death metal band?
Yeah a sort of where you can groove and mosh...while the head spins through the evil deeds goin on in this today's world...

So which band influence confuzone?
many bands but mostly...sepultura, death, kreator ,slayer, testament, cannible corpse

How would you define the ups and down an artist has to face especially trying to bring out a genre like metal which our society in Nepal as well in India considers a pain to the  ears?
the sound of an art...mission...or...challenge...the sound of an art...where we got to listen to the silence that speaks rages cries...that no one bothers to listen n' understand....we bring out that voice...through the metal...or...music...

We usually find that the artist and the crowd usually get intoxicated while they perform . They take it as a necessity to perform and to look more aggressive do you think it is a mere excuse or a reality. Can you give us your views?
We think it's totally a misconception...or a myth...it's totally wrong...it's not the reality... n' being real n' true is what metal means to us...living on...through the life's terms....

How do you feel about the classifications of genres in metal do you think it is affecting the evolving of scene here in Nepal as well as there in India?
We think it's affecting...it's creating a division...though we try to present it in our own way...but...the ultimate message is one...
"Metal for Passion Not for Fashion"

Totally agree with your statement .Does incident and experience in life reflect on music you make?
Yeah it sure does...it reflects...a lot...the different phases of life...the states of mind...that keeps on twisting and turning... inner doubts...guilty conscience... which creates pain and misery...dilemma... confusion...and lots...of...negativity...which kills our humanity inside....

In current moment which band do you think will rise there in India and from here Nepal?
Oh CONFUZONE...from India and...BINAASH...from Nepal...hehehe

So any message to the metal heads out there as well as for fellow band mates on RAKTAPYAS ?
Just...roll on...groove on...mosh on...spill on...live on...keep on...enjoy...\,,/...\,,/....

So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up. Quick top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Indian Metal and abroad?
Kreator/Slayer/Sepultura(with max cavelera)/cannibal corpse/ testament/ iron maiden/ Suffocation/ sodom/ destruction/ immolation/ overkill....
Slayer - reign in blood
testament - low
sepultura - chaos ad
death angel - the ultra violence
cannibal corpse - gallery of suicide
tomb of the mutilated
death - scream bloody gore
immolation - kingdom of conspiracy
suffocation - breeding the spawn
kreator - pleasure to kill....

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
No...nothing...now just the time for CONFUZONE...solution X-plosion...roll,,

Interview of Pritush Munankarmi "Nepal Underground"

NU aka  Nepal Undergorund. All of us metal heads and bands from Nepal are aware of them. They are some youngsters here from Nepal who have been promoting Nepali Underground Scene from 2010.
Here is the link if you haven't liked there official page.:-https://www.facebook.com/nepalunderground
You can go through there website as well and know much about there work :-http://www.nepalunderground.com/
When was NU started?
To be exact , December 31 , 2010. Bikram Kawan (founder) used to put videos, mp3 in his personal blog bikramkawan.com.np and I used to provide few mp3 & videos back them, later on Dec 31, 2010. We started separate site as NepalUnderground. I guess the name NepalUnderground was suggested by Umesh Shrestha (Ktmrocks).

So what exactly is the work pattern of NU?
Generally I or Bikram do technical parts such as maintenance of site, writing, etc. Nurbin is our photographer and I capture videos. Actually there is no strict work pattern , we do stuff that we are comfortable with.

Since you guys are promoting scene from 2010 any ups and down that you guys have seen so far?
I haven't seen much downs but I feel like NU's readership are growing and the scene is growing as well. The quality of concerts are getting better and number of metal gig that takes place are also increasing. I guess number of "metal " / "underground" concerts that happens in Kathmandu is more than number of "mainstream" concerts. There are lots of new bands with new sound. I guess every thing is progressing slowly.. tara ahile ktmrocks active nabhaey ko ali kasto kasto lagi rahey ko cha.
                                                               (Pritush Munankarmi man behind NU)
Definitely khallo huncha ktmrocks begar . By the way how do you guys feel promoting local bands?
We are satisfied with what we do. but we feel like we are not been able to fully cover the bands and scene and something is missing. And we are doing new stuff like video interview and there are some plans for future as well. KtmRocks were better on promoting the scene.

So we wanna ask how many events have NU done so far?
Till date NU hasn't done any event fully on it's, the event we are closely associated with is Khwopa Fest II that happened last year in Bhaktapur. If everything goes right there might be Khwopa Fest III this year.

So we see ups and down in scene being a promoter how does it feel seeing the bands whom you promote get dismantled?
Definitely seeing a promising band dismantled is a sad thing. Band members going abroad for studies seem to be one of the common reason for bands getting disbanded.

Its will seem a bit biased if we ask this question but we wanna ask you which band is promising and a little more boost and sure to rise?
There are lots of bands with potentials, bands like Jindabaad, Ugrakarma, Underside have potentials to go global. Bands like Wakk thuu have cult followers, I think with proper release and international record label Dying out Flames have huge changes of rising. In Nepal I don't see band being on top by playing Metal.

Yeah for sure . Being a promoter being fair do you admit the scene here is biased free?( NO DIPLOMACY)
I don't know about others but we are biased free. If the band is good we share about them. I don't know what other do.

What do you want to say regarding the split in scene that we face sometimes?
Generally there is split on the basis of genre here. The scene is small is audience is limited I don't see any benefit on further dividing the scene. I think still there are people who regard black metal as tr00  metal core as faggot / poser metal. Death metal as only true metal etc.

Since being a promoter sometimes its seems really hard to work due to scene polarization give us your view regarding that?
There are some genre bashing but it hasn't effected much. It isn't possible to please all the people. Every one have some likes and dislike.
Bikram Kawan (Founder NU. Currently in Norway)
So any message to bands and the organizers from NU?
If band is good we will support them no matter what genre it is. Till date we have promoted several gig without expecting any return. If organizers are doing something good then we will gladly help them in all possible way. Not much to say besides these.

So what do you wanna say to your followers both here and overseas who may or may not be reading your views?
We would like to thank all those who have been following us. Growing readership is the only thing that has keep us motivated and this has motivated us to try new things as well.

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
I guess everything is covered... But here are few things I want to tell.
As you know NU has been putting up band biographies of Nepali band on it's site. There are limited contents, so anyone interested on putting up band bio or writing some posts for NU are heartily welcome.
Our followers who want to ask us can do so by going to http://ask.fm/nepalunderground

Obliterating Vortex from Darjeeling, India

Obliterating Vortex
an aspiring Technical Death Metal from the lands of Hills (Darjeeling) India. To know much about them you can check there band page :-https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.505861329502272.1073741827.345304288891311&type=3#!/ObliteratingVortex

OR
You can Stream them in http://www.reverbnation.com/obliteratingvortexx?page_view_source=facebook_app

So tell us about Obliterating Vortex?
Obliterating Vortex was started in mid-2012 by me Sailu Rasaily on guitars /vocals and Abhishek Tamang on bass . Then Prashant Hingmang joined also on guitars and vocals . Sharing a common likeness for bands like Martyr(Canada), Quo Vadis (Canada), Necrophagist, Obscura, Nile, Dyscarnate, Augury(Canada), Origin, Cannibal Corpse, Gorguts, The Faceless, Viraemia, Cerebral Bore, Decapitated, and others, we decided to start a project which could reflect these influences from time to time in our originals . The last one to be found/ join was the drummer, who came in the person of Rupen Portel . Then we started jamming out to create our own style in the music we were playing . After two months of jamming together, we came out with the demo "The Protestant" which can be found in our "reverbnation" web-page for free download . After that, we decided to go live, and that happened at the end of the year at the musical contest leg of the annual "Tea And Tourism " fest here at Chowrasta, Darjeeling . Then we featured at the Darjeeling Meta-legion Jampad III, opening for black metal nightmares "Kalodin" from Nepal along with other bands in June of 2013 . This time Vivek Rai replaced Rupen on the drums . A month later, we opened for "Plague Throat" at the "New World Order" (NWO II) along with other fellow metal bands from different parts of India . This time, Rupen again joined @Obliterating Vortex at the drums . By this time, we were also featured in many compilation albums . Then we co-headlined the "Extreme Tour Nepal" , 2013, Pokhara Edition with Wakk-Thhu ... then due to unavoidable circumstances Prashant had to leave the band, and very recently, we played at Hetauda, sharing the stage with the likes of awesome bands like Bidroha, Undefined Human, Dying Out Flame, Malevolent Bloodshed, Imperial Cult, Forensic Torture, Strangle, and a host of other bands at the "Slaughter House Death Fest" as of now ...

Can you explain us the meaning of your bands name "Obliterating Vortex"?

Well, visually, we could say "Obliterating Vortex" could be like a huge tornado/ whirlwind that sucks up everything in it's path to total annihilation ! And aurally, we try to create such music as the name suggests !!
You guys were formed in 2012 how far has your journey been in this peroid of almost a year?
Obliterating Vortex
As started earlier, it has been gigs, and composing new songs, though they have not been recorded, but played live, like "Butcherfest" and "Fatalist Nihilist", and getting to know and meet awesome new friends !
It's been more than a year of these activities ...

So we wanna ask you recently in a matter of 2 months you guys toured Nepal (Hetauda and Pokhara) 2 times how was your experience in the two visits?
Absolutely fantastic ! Getting to meet like-minded musicians and music-lovers, and learning from each other is always a thrilling experience !

Yeah, it sure is like minds haha by the way we wanna ask you guys are a technical death metal band and some people (including myself) say you guys playing pattern and flavor reminds of Necrophagist what do you wanna say regarding that?
We would like to leave that to the listener, as he or she may think fit to define us . In our own minds, we play death metal, and incorporate whatever we feel and think is valid to the music . Our aim purpose to go home happily is to have people appreciate us. If we can do that, our aim is fulfilled .
*Our aim purpose to go home happily and have people appreciate us. If we can do that, our aim is fulfilled *

Thats a spirit of true musician by the way sailu i wanna ask you as we all know prashant left the band now will there be a replacement or we can hope he will be back in the mere future?
Prashant was having some personal problems due to which he could not continue with the band . Yes, a new member will be there to replace him in the very near future .

Well thats a good news so any project in the pipeline?
We are planning to do an EP which should be out by next year . And then, the usual rehearsals are there, as well as upcoming gigs ... maybe we will also be coming up with some merch !

Well best wishes for your future project. So can you tell us about the Djs metal scene?

Thanks for the wishes ! We may not be really knowing what is out there a hundred per cent, but the scene is a bit stagnant with very less gigs being done here due to various constraints . This does not mean there are no metalheads or bands here ... except maybe everyone is dong it around their own periphery of existence due various limiting factors ...

We usually find that the artist and the crowd usually get intoxicated while they perform . They take it as a necessity to perform and to look more aggressive do you think it is a mere excuse or a reality. Can you give us your views?
Everyone is free to their own opinion(s) on the use of intoxicants at a show we feel, but personally speaking we do not support such things at all to sync in the crowd, music or environment . For us, music itself is a "high", so why need something else for the purpose ? Also we can get high on life itself, or, maybe meditation right ?
*maybe through meditation*

How do you feel about the classifications of genres in metal do you think it is affecting the evolving of scene there in North east India?
With a lay man's common, we feel that the different genres are deviations from the common platform of heavy metal, each highlighting and working upon the features of the "Mother" genre ... so this way, each genre does affect and mold another genre(s) ... so logically, it should affect the scene as well as evolve it ...
In current moment which band do you think will rise there in India and from Nepal?
Hell there are so many good bands out there, both in India and Nepal ... I don't think anyone is a step above the other as each are uniquely good in their own way ! Anyway, the ones we could mention are Sycorax, Plague Throat, Grimmortal, Pisacas, Grossty, Gutslit, etc., and Dying Out Flame, Aakrosh, Bidroha, Strangle, Nude Terror, Undefined Human, Wakk Thuu etc. ... we know there are a lot of very good more bands out there, but these come to mind right now !

How would you define the ups and down an artist has to face especially trying to bring out a genre like metal which our society in Nepal as well in India considers a pain to the ears?
Like every one else we have our own share of ups and downs ... hostile environments , lack of finance, oppositions, direct or indirect ! And then maybe the hostility itself is what keeps us playing - if it was accessible and an "easy thing", maybe it wouldn't be worth doing anyway probably !

Does any incident in life reflect on your lyrics and music?

Not directly in particular, but yes, definitely we are affected by things happening around us which reflects in how or what we write ...
*or play* ...

So any message to the metal heads out there as well as for fellow band mates on RAKTAPYAS ?
For all the metalheads, we would urge them to support the music, band(s) and each other ! We wish Raktapyas good luck, kudos for what they are doing, and definitely look forward to play with them ...

So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up. Quick top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Indian Metal and abroad?

For a dream metal fest, it would be : Spastic Ink, The Faceless, To-Mera, Antediluvian, Impetuous Ritual, Mitochondrion, Ulcerate, Origin, Spawn Of Possession, and Augury(Canada) .
1) WATCHTOWER – Control And Resistance.
2) MARTYR – Warp-Zone .
3) QUO VADIS – Defiant Imagination .
4) CORONER – Mental Vortex .
5) ENTOMBED – Clandestine .
6) CEPAHLIC CARNAGE – Xenosapien .
7) CELTIC FROST – To Megatherian .
8) SEPTIC FLESH – A Fallen Temple .

17) AMOGH SYMPHONY –The Quantum Hack Code .
… oops ! sorry for exceeding the “top ten “ mark !

Haha its ok. Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

Thanks a ton for giving us this opportunity to express ourselves ... we really appreciate your supporting the scene to help it go forward with all the activities that you undertake ! You rool !! \m/ ... thanks again !!!

Dissector Thrash Metal Band from Bangladesh

"DISSECTOR" an aspiring Thrash Metal band from Bangladesh.
To know much about them You can check there official page :-https://www.facebook.com/dissectormanics
Or you can tune them in reverbnation as well http://www.reverbnation.com/dissector?page_view_source=facebook_app

Can you tell something about DISSECTOR?
We describe our music as raw and merciless, dealing with the ideas of daily life, corruption, politics and shit!!its been like almost two years, thrashing and slaying around!!

Can you clarify  us the meaning of the band name DISSECTOR?
hahha. Its pretty simple.through our music,we wanted to dissect the shit out of everyone.specially the scene posers and faggots Haha!!feels like slaughtering them, shatter their skulls with beer bottles .Haha. So that's pretty much it.

HaHa talking about the band how many gigs have you guys done so far . Like can you tell us about Dissectors  journey so far?
The journey started back in 2011 with a gig called riot of metal.after that, there's no looking back.We did some cool shows with local extreme metal acts like powersurge, homicide, warhound, abominable carnivore, thrash to name a few.the E.P LOCAL MANIAC SYNDROME this august with a launching gig.it was pretty cool

Your bands vox Dip had toured NEPAL Feb 2013 for a gig from his other band what is the similarity between here in NEPAL and there in BANGLADESH?
The similarity is definitely the unity and brotherhood among the metalheads. As you know that this whole Asian scene is gradually improving and getting stronger. Metal is all about passion, not about money.People from both the countries are working their level best to keep the good flow going. this is what we do!

Since DISSECTOR is a thrash metal band which bands are your influence?
Every member has their own influences.but that one thing that has made us one...definitely slayer!!!

You guys are aware of Nepali scene as well say us one band from here as well as bangladesh who are sure to rise in future?
Haha. Its pretty tough.there are really cool bands in Nepal and some bands in Bangladesh that we cant even deny! but considering the variation,creativity,intensity...will go for Dying Out Flame from Nepal and Bangladesh, homicide is the name we wanna say!!intense as fuck!
right now our lineup is-
Affnan-guitars
Pulock-guitars
Shiplu-bass
Dip-vocals
Anzan-drums

Any project on the pipeline?
No,not really man.We are just focused on the album and some other promotional stuffs at the moment

Any recent gigs?
Yeah,we have a gig coming up after the eid festival which is on 25th October. More are coming in November and December. For more, keep your eyes on the band page!

Yes for sure we will . As we all know scene is also evolving there like that of Nepal what obstacles does the band has to face there to put up a metal band which society considers pain in ear?
Haha, being a part of a country where this type of music in kinda offensive to many, its pretty hard to face the challenges and obstacles the society offer everyday.from family to professional life, you have to go through it.but still, its all about passion.if you are true to your love for metal, then nothing can stop you doing whatever you wanna say or do.

So we are almost at our end of interview any message to the fans as well as fellow bands from RAKTAPYAS?
first of all, thanks for having us in the compilation and for the interview!it will be a cool experience to be a part of this compilation with other extreme metal bands and taking the scene, representing it globally together. our fans are our strength.thanks for being with us and some new songs are coming pretty soon to destroy the ear drums!! haha!!keep

So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up and top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Bangladeshi Metal and abroad?
Hahah.ok.here it goes.our dream metal fest lineup. Slayer, Keator, Distruction, Sodom, Dissector. Haha top ten albums...well...definitely some classic albums are needed to be in everybody's collection. For example,
agent orange by sodom
mad butcher by destruction
bonded by blood by exodus
leprosy by death
alters of madness by morbid angel
zombie attach by tankard
swallowed in black by sadus
the new order by testamen
barrage of noise by hirax
reign in blood by slayer!

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
Nope. You could have asked about the song in the compilation, but its not a problem at all. Haha

Interview with Horus

HORUS an aspiring technical death metal band from ROMANIA. here is a short talk with them
Bands official page :- https://www.facebook.com/HorusOfficialBand

Enjoy there tracks on there Reverbnation as well :-http://www.reverbnation.com/horusofficial?page_view_source=facebook_app
So can you tell us something about Horus?
At first the name of the project was Bloodtide. We singed back then in 2011 as technical death metal. Later we decided later to restart the project but under the name of Horus. We had a lot of line-up changes and unfortunately we became a two-man band, because it's very hard to find people that can feel the music like us, and have the same ideas and principles.

"Horus" what does the name mean?
Horus is an Egyptian god, representing good, the son of Osiris and Isis. We've chosen this name because we wanted something simple that relates very much with our oriental influences in our music especially Egyptian. He is also one of our favorite character from this mythology.

Can we know about your recent lineup and duty on Horus?
Well, the former members and Current members are Beserman Edi as Lead Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, Drum programming, Mastersound, Songwriter and Cristache Andrei as Backing Vocals, Drum programming, Guitar, Composer.Other members we're Mihai Vlad - Guitar, Catalin Mihai - Mastersound, Guitar, Laurentiu Szain - Guitar. We also tried with some people who we're playing on bass and keyboards but it was useless.

So we can say Horus as a two man technical death metal project?
Technical, melodic, atmospheric and oriental death metal, simple death metal!!Horus represents Beserman Edi and Cristache Andrei.

So can you tell us about the ROMANIAN metal scene?
To be honest, we don't care so much about the Romanian metal scene, because we have a lot of shity bands that pretend to be metal, and confuse the image with the music. But, there are some bands that really make some great music, and are very good. Bands like Taine, Avatar, Indian Fall, Negura Bunget, Malpraxis, Decease and others. Some of them being first who played in our country the specific genre. Unfortunately, some of them are more appreciated outside our country than inside. Krepuskul also on the band list, forgot them, great band as well!!

Yeah for sure Kreposkul is a good band. So we wanna know how many gigs have you guys played so far?
Unfortunately because of the line-up we haven't played live . That was another reason we became a two-man band. If we will find some members maybe we will do some concerts. Until then, we're only making  music.

So until now how many track have been launched?
A lot of them.He have material for almost 2 or 3 albums and also unfinished ideas. We started first with a demo with 3 songs, and after that we started working on our first album, Declaration of War.We also work on other projects as well, one of them more older than this one, Decomposed Flesh, an old school brutal death metal, and with Bessermann Edy, a solo project.

So exactly how many albums?
Albums, only one for now, Declaration of War, but we have to record the voice on 2 songs to be full-length.We also have material for an EP, that will be released after finishing the album.

We convey you best wishes from entire SNRMB team. As we are learning  and being influenced by many bands which band have influenced Horus?
Best wishes as well! And for the bands that influenced us; we tried not to be influenced by other bands, but 3 bands did marked us a bit.Their names are Nile, Aeternam and Septicflesh.

Any message to the fans and fellow band mates to be featured in RAKTAPYAS?
For the fans: thank you all who supported us, we love you all!!And for the bands in the compilation, we wish you the best, and stay metal!!

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

How did your journey of metal music start?

Besides the obvious time of seeing the cool album covers in second or third grade it started for real when my older brother drove me to school this one time and had Alice Cooper playing in the car, that sure caught my attention and I was lost. It took only a few years before I knew I couldn't just be a consumer of this grand music so I decided to get myself that first bass guitar and then it all kind of spun out of control from there. The first memories I have are from around 1980 when my brother listened to Ace of Spades and Welcome to hell in his room and I could hear it through the shut door, ha ha. The REAL awakening was as late as 1987-88 due to our isolated geographical situation when it came to metal.

Ron we want to know how your journey did begin on Swedish underground scene.

When you say "The underground" I reckon you are referring to the tape trading and the small fanzine scene? Well, after discovering more and more brutal stuff that was out in the open market (Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, etc) I came across a bunch of guys living a few towns away playing something totally mind blowing that didn't sound like anything I ever heard before, they called it "Death metal" and the band's name was Macabre End (changed to God Macabre later on) and they had the connections that literally opened up the ground below me. That's where all the action was going on and I started tagging along to gigs and we traded some tapes and so on. Since it was long before internet was a household thing you really had to be introduced to it by someone who already knew the stuff. I reckon this was around 1990 and I've been a part of it ever since.

Yeah things were more DYE than. Well as my knowledge VOMITORY was your first band how was your journey from 1989 until now ?

Yeah, after a few futile attempts pulling a band together with the wrong people me and Urban crossed paths in the end of summer 1989 and decided to start a band as soon as he could afford a guitar, ha ha. In October we finally pulled off the first rehearsal consisting of him and me just blasting away on bass and guitar, I had to look at his foot stomping to know which pace to play in, how primitive is that?? We searched high and low for a drummer but none of them were into metal so it all went really slow. We asked Tobben (Urban's brother) if he could join us but he was busy in various other bands at the time and it wasn't until early 1990 that he decided to help us out for our first local gig. Shit happened and he never left the band again. After a year or so I had taken on the lead vocals and realized that my skills were not good enough for both bass and vocals, we had to figure out if I should play only bass or only do vocals. Through a friend of a friend we found a bass player and the decision was made for me to handle the vocals. For that reason I had to find another way to play the bass and that is how Gehennah was founded. I and Mr. Violence were both eager to start up a cover band playing Venom song exclusively so we tried out a few lineups that were total shit really and we were stuck again... Vomitory started getting a lot of attention locally at the time though so we had a lot of gigs around here. In one of those gigs we bumped into Rob who was singing in a Ramones-cover band at the time and he played the guitar we needed and we only needed a drummer. We basically grabbed the first person we could see and he became the drummer despite never touching a drum kit up to that day, ha ha. Gehennah story (as well as Vomitory's story) is quite well known by now so I won't bore you all with details but eventually in 1998 I had left Vomitory (January 1997 to be exact) and Gehennah did not get the deal with Osmose renewed s things stalled totally. After just drifting around in the village drinking beer and behaving like a douche for two years I finally found a drummer and a guitarist to form the band I am in today. We tried out all sorts of lineups and none of them worked unfortunately and we kept struggling without any support from anyone (and frankly, I understand WHY now that I listen back to the stuff we did back then). Along the way members were replaced and eventually we ended up a trio again and all remaining members are old metal heads so naturally it all went good from there on.

Honesty both Vomitory and Gehennah are on top list of best band that have eventually impacted on NEPALS underground scene but last year when we had talked you made us aware of TURBOCHARGED as well. Talking about turbocharged what is the meaning behind the name?

Thanks man, you just proved that my years in the scene and part in these bands has not gone unnoticed, it makes every minute count! Well, Turbocharged has been many things during the years due to who was actually part of the lineup. These days the name sucks big time and is misguiding to what we are doing but earlier it had a fitting ring to it since at least three members along the way has not been full-blown meatheads. We played some kind of rock and roll Motörhead style in the beginning (and you can probably hear the traces up to this very day too) and the name was spot on. Now that we play (according to the critics) Deathpunk Metal it kind of give the totally wrong impression but changing name after 13 years is not an option so we stuck to it after all - and besides: a name as shitty as this stands out on a festival poster so people will remember it and they will be caught off guard once we blast off, ha ha. The original meaning of the name was simply because we sounded like an engine roaring down the highway.

Your work counts and with other bands whom we have talked talks about your supportive and down to earth nature. If i am not wrong, turbocharged is a thrash metal band?

I don't know how we/I come across to others but I would like to think no one sees me as a jerk, I have always and will always have both feet firmly stood in the rehearsal place and no matter how long I will be playing and however far we might go I will still be in the front row for the support act. We're all just different parts of the same brick wall; pull one away and it all falls. Here we come to this whole genre thing which is always the most difficult thing to sort out. I would say we are a thrash band yes, but there is more to it than that since a lot of people hears death metal in our sound and almost everyone says we have a very strong punk vibe. In my opinion no metal is real metal if it has no punk in it, all the greatest bands were borderline punk in the beginning (Motörhead, Venom, Destruction, etc) and it should still be one of the cornerstones of what makes the metal we are dedicated to.
(I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone, it seems like we have found an apartment now, yaaaay!)

Well that's a good news

Indeed

Recently turbocharged launched a full length studio album Area 666 tell us something about it?

AREA 666 is our third release through CHAOS RECORDS but it's "only" our second full length, Christ Zero was unfortunately promoted as an "11 track album" but there are only 5 songs on it, I want to make that clear. The first album was basically a first step out of the old shoes, leaving the past members and their influences behind, but we were still looking for our true sound. The second release was merely a premonition what was going on and now the third release is THE result of us three bozos going wild in the rehearsal place. It's a kick to the face, it's blasphemous, it's energetic and it's relentless. It's basically TURBOCHARGED. We recorded 20 songs in the pre-production to choose only the best and after a mutual screening we chose 14 of them to go on the album and according to ourselves we really pulled it off in every sense of the way. It's by far the best album I have ever been part of writing (including both Gehennah and Vomitory) and I don't think it's ONLY wishful thinking, ha ha. It could be ordered directly through Chaos Records or if you're lucky some distro close by might have it in stock. We will also put it on Spotify eventually but we want the CD to soak in first and maybe even the vinyl version should come out before making it available online.

Talking about Area666 Masses, Mortals and Maggots is the only one i have heard and really liked it.

That's one of the fastest tracks on the album but it's not at all the only one. It's all done with energy and we tried to push the album forward in every second of it and I think we did alright. There are some heavier ones as well but the mid-range is kind of D-beat Venom/Celtic Frost-style.

The Awakening and Christ Zero are my all time favorite of turbocharged
Ep Christ Zero

Cool, that one was supposed to be our part of a split-CD but we ended up adding one more track to it and release it as a Mini-CD instead. We've had some complaints about putting all the intros and interludes on it but one must remember that it is a theme based release and it all fits together. I guess if you don't have the lyrics and just listen to it online it might not make that much sense but it was something I wanted to try out and we did.

Yep by the way this NOV 9th turbocharged is touring Hamburg headlining Northen Thrash Attack with Violentor, Bone and Obsessor is it a part of Area666 promotional tour?

No, it's really "just a gig" but for us it will be the (un)official release party since it's the first gig after the release and it's probably the coolest gig we have ever been part of. All the bands that evening are part of the same "family" so it's a huge thing for us to have the Area 666-gig premiere that evening but the timing is pure luck.

Well Ronnie talking about turbocharged that band influence turbocharged?

I can only speak for myself but it's the same that has always been my influences: Venom, Sodom, Motörhead - but there are of course tons of other bands that makes the circle complete, it's just hard to think of any since they all have a subconscious effect on us. The three bands I mentioned are what made me who I am today.

Does any incident reflect on the music you guys compose?

Of course life reflects on what you do when you have a hard time separating your person with your passion/work (speaking for myself again) but there no special incidents that comes to mind, no... Everything that happens whatever you do creates who you are from that day on and that goes for my music as well and in a perfect world no members of the band can separate life and passion either but I am only speaking out of my own mind now, I'm not sure about the other guys and their views on this.

Ok Ron can you tell us a bit of Swedish metal scene?

Ouch, now you put me in a corner, ha ha! Well, the bands rule but the scene in itself sucks. There are tons of great bands coming from here but we are all trying to get out of here to play since there is not much a scene at all, people are more interested in standing at the bar getting plastered than being on the floor banging their heads. It's also very much a kind of "police state" when it comes to the spectators. Too many people are standing there with their arms crossed on their chest listening for mistakes so they can compete with their friends in how many mistakes they could spot. That's the downside to Swedish mentality, bands end up playing for/supporting each other at gigs. It has become a bit better since there is a new generation coming now but it's still far from what I remember from the early days. The good side to it is that bands in similar genres tend to become like a family though.

Haha a police station that's funny though. Btw Ron have you heard any Nepali metal bands?

Ooooh, now I'm in that corner again, ha ha! Well, I get these periods when I try to check out a scene in certain countries and I know I have gone through some of your bands over there but nothing really comes to mind right now, not specific names at least. There are so many people posting great stuff out here that you have never heard of so most of it gets lost along the way and when you hear it again it's like "AAAAH, THOSE!!" you know...

Yea that's true. We usually find that the artist and the crowd usually get intoxicated while they perform. They take it as a necessity to perform and to look more aggressive do you think it is a mere excuse or a reality. Can you give us your views?

There are too many people/bands out there that takes more time to look brutal (or so they think) than sounding it, that's true, but I'm not sure it would be the same if there was no show involved in the whole thing. I think it's like putting on music at home or a movie, that you need an escape from daily life too so it's a thin line between OK and NOT OK... And the intoxication is a well deserved thing to all unless it screws up the whole gig (which I can say from my own experience that it is also a VERY thin line). But my opinion about performing is for the band to be they and ONLY do what they truly believe in, not try to impress anyone but themselves. Impressing others only comes by starting within the core and let it soak outwards until it's crystal clear for all to see.

So Ronnie in current moment which band do you think will rise?

Turbocharged I hope, ha ha! No, seriously, I have no idea... Years and years ago you always had a clue in which bands were rising or not but these days you can't judge from how many has their CD's since a big chunk of the people listens on Spotify or I tunes and you have no way in telling who listens to what. The scene has changed a lot throughout the years but I see a very good side to it too. Nowadays there is an easy solution for everything: studio, video recording, Youtube, etc, etc. Even though you can say that internet killed the paper zine underground you must also admit that everyone gets an equal chance these days to promote themselves and to have stuff recorded easily, they always know someone who has a soundcard good enough for a demo or an EP. You can also record a song in the rehearsal room at 7 o'clock and have it streaming at 9 o'clock that is awesome! Of course it also gives way for crap but it's up to you as a meathead to sort out the good from the bad and ask the local promoters to book the ones who deserve the gigs, it's as easy as that. Therefore it's damn near impossible to say who is going up or down for me.

So since many metal bands especially bassists look up to you as a role model any message to them?

Yes: DON'T!!! Ha ha, no, I didn't even know if there is anyone doing this but I'm only a bastard who got lucky enough years and years ago to get a name in the scene. I am shitty at playing bass, my vocals fit in a mental ward and I haven't played even a handful of the amount of gigs that most bands in my age have played. The only thing I could see as something to "look up to" is that I never gave up, not even for a second, so that must be the only message: KEEP GOING NO MATTER WHAT THE BASTARDS TELL YOU!

To the upcoming bands as well as any message to the fellow bands to be featured in RAKTAPYAS with you guys?

This is a long shot but we are keeping our fingers crossed all the way for it to happen: SEE YOU ON THE ROAD! Other than that I can only say "Keep up the good work" to every band and listener who keeps this scene alive!

So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up and top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Swedish Metal and abroad?

"So this is going to be a rapid last question Your dream metal fest line up and top 10 albums we must have in our collection both Swedish Metal and abroad?": My dream lineup for a festival? That's a hard one since a lot of the old bands have turned into something else than back in their glory days... Well, Turbocharged of course, Venom, Hobbs Angel of death, Violentor, Obsessör, Possessed, Autopsy, Gravehill, Nunslaughter, Gallhammer, Hanged, Sabbat, Goatpenis, Blasphemy, etc... If at least half of these bands were in there it would be a kick-ass festival. There are more but I can't remember them all just now. 10 albums that should be in every record collection:
1. Venom: Welcome to hell
2. Venom: Black Metal
3. Venom: At was with Satan
 4: Venom: Possessed
5. Sodom: In the sign of evil
6. Possessed: Seven churches
7. Entombed: Left hand path
8. Celtic Frost: Morbid tales
 9. Bathory: Bathory
10: Autopsy: Mental funeral Again
Too many to mention but this should be a decent core of building a collection around.

Lastly, a space for you anything we SNRMB have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

Not really, I think your questions covered it all. Only thing I should add is that you can order all three Turbocharged albums via CHAOS RECORDS or maybe through a distro closer to home! Thanks for the interview, brother! Keep supporting the underground, folks, without us all there will be none! Cheers!

CHUD canadian Horror grind band

You can check them out in Reverbnation as well :-

So firstly we want to ask you all about how did you all got in metal music?
Dez: I got into heavy music at a very young age. My dad was into Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper and KISS... so I started from there! Things just got heavier and heavier....
Jon: The first heavy metal album I heard was St. Anger by Metallica in 2003-04... I know this album is pure crap but for the 13 years old boy that I was at the time it was pretty awesome. And later I discover thrash metal with bands like Sodom and Tankard, and it was appreciatively 5 years ago that I discover Death Metal like Disgorge, Mortician and Malignancy... Still my favorite kind of metal today.
Gey: ... Still no answer

Talking about the band name how did C.H.U.D came and what does it mean?
C.H.U.D. Is actually an acronym form C.annibalistic H.umanoid U.nderground D.wellers. It's a B-rated horror movie from the 80's. And since we all likes horror movies and that's the main "spirit" of the band, it's a pretty good name!

And can you guys say something about horror grind?
Jon: Horror Grind is probably the most extreme type of music on earth. It combine two of my biggest passion: Grind and horror movies! Most of us in that kind of grind are in the scene since the 90's and still not everybody knows them. I find it awesome in a way, it's like a classic film from the 80's in the B-rated section!
Dez answer: GORE FOREVER!!!

Like how and when did C.H.U.D formed?
Jon: I had the idea to form C.H.U.D. in march/April 2013... A guy that I know who live in Nepal propose to help me to start the project. He's the one doing the musical part on our song ZOMBIE. I'm from Canada so everything was done over internet. He later quit the band because of all his other musical project, so that's when Dez from CROQUE-MORT suggest to help me with the band, along with Gey from HUMAN JERKY. That's why our sound is very different now.

I want to ask one question. To Jon you have been include in other Nepalese act as well via EUMSN so we are pretty much sure you are aware of the bands out here in Nepal what do you want to say regarding that and how did you met Sanju for C.H.U.D?
Jon: I've met Sanju via Facebook, first I did a review for his project DRIVING THE ILLUSIONS for the Blog. I think it was one of the first I wrote. Regarding C.H.U.D., I was searching and asking friends for a band project, and Sanju was available so he helped me. Really cool guy, very talented. For the scene in Nepal, I like most of the band there, and I really hope that one day I will be able to meet them and tour with them. The scene is growing and fest are taking place, it's really awesome!

Yeah that's for sure bruh.. So guys we want to ask you how many gigs have you played back home in Canada?
None... Hahaha! I hope we will one day, but we are focusing on the album now, and we'll see what's going to happen in the future.

We wish you a best wish for that and im keen to hear more from you guys..Btw can you describe us the scene there in Canada?
Well the scene here exist from a long time... It's not the biggest one, but in Montreal there's shows mostly everyday, and some if the biggest bands are from here, like Anvil, Razor, Blasphemy, Exciter...

So can you tell us what inspired you all to start horror grind?
Jon: I freaking' love horror and Grind core, so I just mixed them both!
Dez: Horror movies and grind core. I've always been into horror, grind, death metal... It came naturally really. In horror grind, Ive been doing Croque-Mort officially since 2008... Played in a bunch of grind, punk, metal bands before and after too

Ok so until now your 4 songs are out if im not wrong then your new song Facebook Player is launched today(10th sep) can you say about this song?
Yeah we have 4 songs released, and we released a new one today (sept 10th). It will probably be the last one before our album came out, just one last tease! Personally its one of my favorite, but we have more cool stuff coming up, and Bob from the Canadian band CUFF will do guest vocals on one of our song.

Sounds cool so can you say us how often you practice?
Jon: As a band, never. Except for recording session. We live too far from Gey to practice, so we just do what we have to do on our side. I practice my vocals at least once a week.

So any projects or gigs schedule?
No gigs for the moment, probably in the future, we'll see. We've got some idea for some splits, but we are focusing on releasing our demo tape the best way we can!

We hope the best of you come out? So any message to the fans..
Jon: First thanks to you for the interest and the interview. I wish all the best to your blog and your plans in the future. And of course, thanks to all of you out there who like our gory noise and support us since the beginning! Our songs are available on our ReverbNation and our Facebook page for free download! Cheers... and GORE FOREVER, EH!
Dez: First and foremost, thank you all for your interest in our music! Check out Croque-Mort, the original one man Canadian Horror Death Grind! And check out my other projects too, such as Vomit Breath, a Nepal-Canada brutal gore grind collaboration. Hope you enjoy! Stay sick and brutal! GORE FOREVER!!

For sure Jon i want to ask what are you guys tuning recently?
Jon: I listen to a shit load of music everyday, I discover new bands, some that I forgot as soon the song is over and some that I really find interesting. Mostly metal (Grind core, Death, Thrash, Black, Stoner...) but I also like classical music, Jazz, some blues... I'm not picky... If you have talent and doesn't waste my time with some stupid pop shit, I might like you! But hey, metal always come first!

So Lastly we want to ask you if you have to say anything that SNRMB didn't ask?
Jon: Nopes i hope we have told almost everything we need to tell..
