Biography :-
The name 'The Power of Now' is taken from a book by Eckhart Tolle. We human beings are always haunted by either our past or our future and most of the time, we fail to live at present. In addition, thinking/worrying/pondering about our past/present, we miss so much of Now and Present. So, realizing the essence of now by one of the memebers of the quintet, Biju, the name was conceived. The Power of Now is all about doing heavy stuff along with spreading the postive messages(hope, faith, life, positivism, optimism N' so forth) through the music and their lyrics. The band has just commenced their voyage and they are heading for the road which lies ahead, with a hope of reaching their aimed destiny.... 'Yesterday has bidden us goodbyes and tomorrow is far-fetched. Life is here and now so, make the most of it!! - 'The Power of Now'(Band) "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."- For the band.

How did the band start?
This Band was a Dream of Biju Bassist of the Power of Now ,He pass some Metal core songs to Arun he Guitarist of our band he was listening to other bands like COF ,threat signal many more…………& As well as to the other member of the Band like another guitarist was from jazz background ,Drummer progressive & Vocalist was missing many Vocalist was Found but all member were Christians .So they need some ne Christian doing the vox which is hard to find here in Nepal……………so Biju knew Rufus from earlier he was much into Death metal so he ask & he agree & at 1st it was hard to manage guys from different genre blend into metal core ……………however they manage to do it & they are still doing it ……………………………….this was the genesis of THE POWER OF NOW @ 2011 with a blast opening at Tipsy Durbar Marg

Until now how is thebands journey?
You know there is always ups & downs this is how life is & Journey sometimes its really tuff & sometime its fine But this is how it makes memorable………& lets say its going fine with all the brothers together supporting each other helping em ‘ in their weak points………….so its going like a wind slow silently moving on straight in the face of time.
Since you guyz are metalcore /hardrock band who are your influences?

Influence like For today ,August burns red ,Confide ,As I lay dying , impending doom………………………..& many more .To be frank lets say those lyrics which really helps us to see the bright side of the life that influences us there are some people like Aaron from underoath , Brian head Welch x korn guitarist ,impending doom ,sleeping giants , they have been most influence to start this voyage ahead ….
So is there current changes in the lineup?
Nope actually we are nothing with out brotherhood so no change & I believe will not be too…………..
So any project in the pipeline?
Not yet but, you know, We never know lets hope future holds something .
What do you think of Nepali organizers?
They have been promoting Nepali metal Scene as much as they can so great full to have’em .& Wish they will do more great in up coming days …….
They are really worthy of praise .So eep your good deeds up ,like there is a saying every successful person got a women at his back or something like that similar to it every great band have got organizers at there back …………….. :) that doesn’t mean rest of those band who never got organizers at there back are dime outta penny we belong too ) but let’s say organizers are Great ………………..
How would you define the ups and downan artist has to face especially trying to bring out a genre like metal which our society assumes pain in the ears?
Yeah its hard to bring this kinda genre especially in this kinda country but Actually lets say we stand for the truth & our songs have been always for the brighter side no F**** words we use, nor any negative message . so our family supports us rest you know there are critics every where but we got our backs..we been playing metal like in only 2 gigs & we got lot of positive response from Metal head & even from those who never heard about metal yeah at 1st they freak out but sounds like bosty but that’s the reality it’s our behavior that they support us & respect what we practice & talking about ups & downs we believe they are never to break us but we believe every stroke to a iron makes something beautiful ……
Apart from power of now which band do you think will come up on the rock delay?
Umm……….there are plenty of fish on the pond…………………….there is a new post hardcore Breach not Broken……. Rage hybrid lets say this two & there are lot more who got the music ………………
Sometime we see clash among musicians and sound crew so what’s your view on that??
Just Know your gadget …………………focus on your thing better then minding others job ….to the musicians …………………….. Sound crew don’t try to be a Dj in the midst of the song ………..
Both :-Its about group work ,,team work no single can be glorify with out other . so beside blaming one another work as a team.two parts of the coin……
Any message to the fans organizers and the field related people?
