Interview with Binaash's frontman Prabin Shrestha

I guess i don't have to speak much about Binaash. Binaash is a Death metal band from Kathmandu Nepal. Formed by the members of the legendary acts like &2 hrs, Arachnids  and as well as from Ugrakarma, Binaash is one of the Premium Death Metal act from Nepal.

Greetings!! Prabin, before we begin we would like to know what are you guys doing these days.

Well the band is currently taking a break, all the members are busy doing there working stuff.

Yeah, If i am not wrong then band is on rest since the workshop..

Yes, that’s true.

Formed in November 2009 Binaash how has the journey been so far?

It’s pretty good, the only problem we are having is getting a good and stable drummer i guess.

Yeah we can see it since Rishav left in 2012 the drummers have been changed. Jay ram for his further studies in drums and Surya abroad for study. Prabin Dai there’s one thing that amuses me in your genre "Ramailo Death Metal" What does it mean? Cause there is a belief that death metal is just for aggression.

Death Metal is sure an aggressive genre of music. We are not trying to say that we are moving from aggression to comedy. We just named the genre Ramailo death metal just because we feel Ramailo (fun) while jamming and composing the lyrics. We just want our friends to have fun, not just with the brutal aggression like starring to eat u alive. Yeah that’s it..

Now coming beyond Binaash Dai we will like to know how your journey in metal music begun?

Back then when i was in class 8, I used to listen an F.M program named Metallic mantra while doing my homework the channel was HBC. The Rj also used to growl and that’s what stroked me! Yeah! This is fucking great show. I really missed the show. I used to write the name of the band name in my school copy so that i could get the tape and cd of that band in mahaboudha or any other store. And i started to growl every where when I’m feel like growling. Yeah, i forgot to mention the program came at 10pm every Thursday night.

If i am not wrong your 1st band was Arachnids and Aghori is one of my favorite tracks from Arachnids. Arachnids to Binaash. How has the journey been?

Arachnids was the beginning step in metal for me. Playing with Arachnids band was like experimenting my self searching for my capacity. While with Binaash it’s not a big difference I’m doing death metal but this time it’s more brutal. But I’m still trying to search my self again.

Gore consumption, Bancharo, Gravitational imbalance are some of my favorite tracks from Binaash. Dai you guys stared stage with the grindcore giants NAPALM DEATH on DOF as well as played in Silence Fest I how was the experience can you share with us?

It was really good.

Coming beyond Binaash what are you hearing nowadays?

Narsamhaar GENOCIDE EUPHORIA album, Albatross new album ma ra malai. Huun huur tu Best live and 60 Horses in my head. Mad Season ani Death Live in L.A.(Death & Raw)

Yeah for sure GENOCIDE EUPHORIA and MA RA MALAI are some of the finest album produced this year. Dai can you tell us how soon Binaash is going to play live cause many fans are waiting for some Binaashkaari set. As far as i have heard you guys found a drummer for Binaash. Is that true or just a rumor cause once even there was a rumor for audition for a drummer?

Right now we all members are busy in our work stuff. We are planning to do workshop gig again. For drummer we are not fixed yet.

Binaash is known as the biggest death metal giant from Nepal and many bands currently formed takes you guys as a source of inspiration. How does it feel when many bands give tribute to you guys playing your tracks in gigs?

Binaash is a simple Death Metal band. People adore us just because they love the kind of music we play. We are very greatful that we influenced many band, Its a chain we are also influenced by many Old and new bands. Talking about covering our song by other band it feels we are skipping our place to their and visualizing the fun part.

Dai apart from Binaash what do you guys do. Talking about Sashank Dai he is our college faculty. What about you Prateek Dai and Bijent?

I work as Freelancer artist, Prateek Dai works in Growth Leadership Academy. Bijent is a total musical guy plays bass in Joint Family.

Almost at the end Dai any message to Binaashkaari fans out there?

I hear Rumor that Binaash has disbanded, not active anymore. Prateek Dai have left the band bla bla bla thing that’s a fake crap thing spread by non Binaashkaari posers. We will be live soon with new original songs. Jai Metal!!

For sure Dai rumors should always be taken in humor no matter how hard we try to do best some one is always there to create problems. I don’t want to end but it must end. A space for you to ask anything if we have forgotten to ask you can ask here.
